When go travelling each year, i always book a package tour, because i enjoy the fun we have on the way to the scenary and the way back home. I enjoy meeting people, and even though the trip is not very attractive, i can have great fun on coaches with friends, we talk on and on and on, as if we were parted for ages. Well, though package tour is limited, say time, and you have to assemble when you still don't want to leave, but everything is well arranged and saves my breath. :)

i would prefer a package tour... it saves the headache and it is very convenient... everything had been prepared for me... the price is also cheaper... i also will have the chance to meet new friends and have fun together... so if i have extra money to go on a holiday, i will choose to go on a package tour with my hubby... take care and have a nice day...

about four years ago,i had a bagpack with my friend for three days .we looked for the imformation on the internet, and we booked the train ticket, and everything, even every detail needed to accout of,and what's more ,the local map was really useful and the native people even became our last straw,as my friend said that the mouthes of people would become the road, indeed, when we were hardly lost, the volunteer guides gave us lots of strenthen and passion.although the travel made us very tired,as you could imagine everything was prepared by us,after travel ,we had forgotten all of troubles in our work and life, everything would be more wonderful.we began to work more innovativly and energitically.it is the unforgotton memory that we had kept in our mind for many years .

Dear friend,
I do like both and package tours mostly I do prefer if the place I go is not much known and if I have too much tensions. Other to place if I know well I make make it my own were I could go freely and take my own time and could see those tourist places as per my own convienice on ther other side package tours I may get new friends, good company, a well information give if the guide is good and also all those things are pre-planned much tensions are less if all timing are kept well. I hope both depends upon one's convience and satisfaction.

I personally do not prefer packaged tours. They take away the freedom that you can enjoy when you are doing it on your own. Suppose I want to spend more time at a particular place,I have to leave because the time is already set and quite limited.
While on the other hand I can spend time according to my needs when I am doing it myself. Its not bad to do a bit of a research and create your own plan when you visit some place

A package tour is good because the travel and accommodation is pre-arranged and you just go and see the places in the itinerary of the travel package. But mostly, the travel is on limited time. I had a package tour when I first went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and stayed there for 3days, went to see the Twin Towers, KL Tower, The Museum and other tourist spots on the itinerary. Then my hubby fetched me and we went to the other Malaysia state/province where he work and I stayed with him for 2 weeks and he toured me to different places. So, it depends on the place/ country where I want to go. If I have family and relatives on the place or country I will visit, I will not go on package tour, as it will be an enjoyable trip going to different places when your tour guide is your family or relatives, just like when I went to Singapore and to Montreal and British Columbia, Canada where I have family members who were there for my accommodation and travel.

I prefer to travel independently and that way I get to decide where I would like to go and on the way I meet lots of friendly people. I usually buy a flight, then travel around a region on the local buses and trains. I tend to stay in locally owned accommodation. If a place is really lovely I am able to stay longer but if a place is really awful I can move on to the next place sooner. There is safety in a package tour and every day is predictable.
One time I got a cheap flight to Cancun in Mexico. As soon as I arrived to traveled as far south towards the border where I stayed my first next. Early the next day I continued traveling to Belize City where I got a boat to Caye Caulker. There I snorkeled the reef, seeing nurse sharks and sting rays. I went on a boat trip, seeing manatees in their protected environment. I stayed in a tree house in the inland region of Belize and whilst there went on an exciting cave adventure. I went to the Mayan ruins in Tikal in Guatemala. Wow! I still had time to go down a river in Belize, seeing crocodiles. Then I had my last couple of days staying in a thatched beach hut in Mexico. That holiday was cheaper, more enjoyable and exciting than most package tours.
Happy traveling.

you made a right choice because in package tours we need not worry about arranging everything .... except for our luggages we just need to pack our things and go and enjoy the tour ... its even better if we go on the tour with our friends as we will enjoy ever more.

I also like package tour. It is a safe and secure travel plan, and you are not there alone. It is very good, if you don't take into account the cost involved, which is a little bit more everywhere.

Package tours are a thriving business nowadays,im sure its because they take a lot of the worry away from the holiday.I have only been once,to Scotland on a coach, and the coach was comfortable and the journey was a pleasant one.The hotel was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We went out on daily excursions, and they were very enjoyable. On the last night we had a Burns supper, which as you all know is named so because of the great scottish poet ands writer Robert Burns, the piper piped the haggis in ,and all had a good time, there were a few drams slipped down on that night.

I don't like package tours because every time we get them, the guide rushes us from one place to the next. It's supposed to be less stressful because someone else takes care of the checking in, navigating, and all that, but for me, traveling is supposed to be an adventure! I want to be able to discover new sights and food places. i don't want someone to tell me where he thinks I should go.
