i don't have aircon here but my computer is running condition even without aircon. many says that computer can't stay long without aircon, i don't if i bilieve or not because my computer now is more than 1 year and still good although somtime i encounter some system trouble but it's because of the virus coming in to my OS.

I don't have an aircon either. It's not applicable here in where I'm staying. I think the weather here is just enough to cool down my laptop. We don't open our electric fan that often either, only when it's really hot. HUGZ!

i have two computers in my home and one here in office, those three computers of mine is not located in an airconditioned room,i think there is no connection if you'll not put your computer on which it has a aircondition unit.coz my first computer in our house is not located in an aircondition room and it last for 8 to 10 years but until now i can use that computer of mine.sometimes it has a problem but most of the time is techical problems only that i can repair.the other one is almost 1 yr and it is not located too in an airconditioned room,in my office the computer that im using is not in airconditioned room too and it last for almost 6 yrs.

I have my computer in an air conditioned room. My whoile home is air conditioned. That is why. I know that the hard drive will get heated up and very hot at times even in an air conditioned room. I think there is actually no way to prevent that unless you have a fan blwoing on it. It already has a fan inside of it to help it cool down anyway so you may be okay with it.

Whoever told you that doesn't know that there are fans inside the system unit. I have one computer in the living room and my living room doesn't have any aircon but I know that this computer has 2 fans inside it and the area where I place my computer is open. Air is free to come and go meaning the heat generated inside the system unit can get out easily thus it doesn't cause the whole unit to heat up. New not so cold and not so hot air comes in. I have also heard from my friend that if you ask you computer to do so many things at one time and it causes the computer to hang up, that is also the time when it poduces lots of heat. So I guess we can also compare our computers to people. When you ask someone to do so many things at one time, a person crashes like when he lacks sleep, he may not be able to work effectively and tends to be grouchy and sometimes it causes the antibodies to go weak thus making the person more susceptible to infection and then fever so on and so forth.

My computer is also not in a air-conditioned room.... I m using my PC for past 3 years and no problem...
Only thing is i have to clean my PC, especially CPU Fan every 6 months... so that dust does not get accumulated..he he.
I Overclocked my CPU for last 2 months... actually overclocking heats up the CPU.... but still I'm not using AC...

We can't live here in Houston without ac. Computers produce a lot of heat. The heat has to go somewhere. When a computer overheats it has to work harder and ultimately it could harm the components. Right now I am using our laptop which is sitting on the table. I can tell the difference in the temperature in the room due to the heat.

I rarely turn on the airconditioning unit in my office because we want to save on electricity... but the electric fan is always turned on... and i make sure that the laptop i am using is getting the air from it... i heard people say that without airconditioning... there is a risk of computers and laptops overheating... but i have never encountered that... and i hope i never will...

No, it is not in an air conditioned room, but I keep it sufficiently cool, so that it can run on maximum cylinders. It's winter season here, and it's almost close to having 20 degrees. So I do not worry about having an AC. But in summers, the temperature really hits to high values and that's when my real worries start.

I also believe that computers are not necessarily be inside a air-conditioned room. But it shouldn't be put where direct sunlight is. I also have my computer here where my room isn't air-conditioned. I don't have problems yet and I hope to remain this in good condition as it always be.

Yes, it is true that the computer will be like overheat when it is not in the air condition but there is an option of it when you are not in used then make it off and if you think that the computer u used is more than 4 8 hours then it would be good if you can used a wall fan to give a good care of it and in my part my computer is safe in my house because we have centralized air condition.

I seldom keep my laptop in an air conditioned room because I am usually outdoors. I do not believe that the computer needs to be kept in an air conditioned room although it is better to do so. I believe that it is enough if we kept the computer in a room where there is a significant difference in temperature between the surrounding air and the air coming out of the exhaust fan of the computer because that will be enough for the computer to cool itself but this only work if the air intake vent on the computer is not blocked or near a hot object.
I have built some electronic circuits in the past and my experience with them tells me that if there is not enough cooling, the components will be fried. And that can happen to the computer when there is not enough difference in the temperature of the air drawn into the computer and the air removed.

i never kept my computer in an air conditioned room as i cannot afford it. and here in India even many of my friends don't have air conditioned rooms for their pc's as i don't think many of us can afford an ac in the house as its too expensive and also the electricity bill increases a lot.
my computer is 4 years old and its still running fine without an AC. i really wonder why people think that an AC is needed to run the pc well.

our house do not have an air conditioned room and so far our computer is still good..i thought too that computers needs to stay in cool places but it is wrong 'coz if it is true that the computers needs to stay in air conditioned room then our computer should have been broken a long time ago.
