With Computer But Without Internet It's Useless

I cannot image my computer with internet. I think they make a perfect couple ;) We have became so dependent on internet that computers are simply a tool to make the most use out of your internet connection. Sure you can do your work but believe me from time to time you would require a stable internet connection to complete any of the required tasks. Yes, you can play games if you are into them but then again, most of the games these days require online interactivity. So my point is, without internet, computers might just go obsolete.

It's true. We cannot do much with computer if we don't have the internet connection. We can only type our paper work or watch movies with DVDs. That's it. My life will be dull if I have a computer without internet connection. It will be very boring for me. Same like you, I won't use my laptop without internet. I would just sleep,lol.

My sister too has the same pattern. She uses pc mostly for net. I too tease her about this habit but am not sure about my own way. Of course it's fun to have 24x7 connectivity, but even if net is down I create some work for myself. Though I learn many things in this offline session but still it is heading towards a bad shape---the computer addiction. I remain glued to it rather of doing something else. If only I knew how to manage an escape!

I feel sad and annoyed if my Internet connection goes down. I can look at photography o my laptop but without the Internet it would be boring after ten minutes. I would go out for a walk with my dogs to feel calm and then I would read a book. I wouldn't be all that happy until my Internet connection came back up again. Ten years ago I didn't own a computer and didn't know anything about the Internet. How things have changed now with many of us being unable to be happy without the Internet.

Computer without INTERNET or With Internet ? Computer must be with internet !! its become root for it . Excessive use of internet is Afficiency loss for computer Technical person . But its really help if use effectively & efficiently . So debate must be on how much time should spent on internet ? So you will get a thread of this discussion in my profile amitsh8888

When I was back home during my vacation, our internet connection isn't stable. There were times connections were good and other times bad. But guess what, even without the internet connection I slept late at night playing games, watching, and even listening music using pc. In other words, the use of my pc is not dependent on internet connection.

If there's no movie downloaded that I've been waiting to see or some work to be done using some educational programs, I don't have anything else to do on my computer either. I do have a couple of games I could play, but they don't attract me so much...

Hey! Its not the same with me.... I always love my computer irrespective of whether there is internet connection or not... When there is not internet... I play games like counter strike... and watch movies... So Im always there infront of my computer...

I get so anxious when the internet goes out, because of the weather or something (we have satellite internet). But as much as I hate it, I typically will take that time to play some of my computer games. I have quite a few computer games, that a lot of times I don't get around to playing when I'm really wrapped up in my online life. So actually as much as I miss the internet, I actually think it's nice to have a little time when I can just take a break from the internet and play my games. Although, I admit--when I can't use the internet I get annoyed, so I can't really appreciate that time because I'm so upset! But I can see the value in my computer no matter what. But I definitely can't last that long with my internet.

Gone are the days when the internet was still not around and we were doing just fine. Now, it's a whole new story and internet and PCs are not good things to separate. Although for me, I still use my PC for lots of other things aside from work. I play games, watch movies, organize my drive (pics and stuff), practice programming and such. But of course, I would prefer it to have internet connection as much as possible.

Internet is very important for nowadays people . we work need internet,too, we need internet to send and receive e-mail and change data and so on . After work I use internet to skip pages ,and down load musics & movies . then I can talk with friend all over the country in QQ . If internet is down ,I think I can only do somenthing like photoshop or some single games .that's so dull. If internet is down ,then I will choose TV

I find myself away from the computer when the connection is gone too. I watch movies or write instead. I used to spend most of my time playing computer games, but this computer doesn't have enough space for all of my games to run. So I'm looking for a hi tech gaming laptop. Expensive, but it will be worth it.

i have also to agree with you ... every time when i format my computer the first think after windows installation i install my internet connection and modem so i can get online right away ... i can spend my time playing games and other things but just cannot stand without internet even a one day ... if that happens, my computer is useless

Yea, if I didn't have internet I would not use the computer. I mean, you can play games on it I guess. Games are fun. Other than that, no. I would do other stuff like you mentioned.

It's funny because that is how my grandma is. She turns on the computer, she connects to the internet. You would think it was the only thing on there! I used computers for several years before the internet was available even in it's older forms, so I still found plenty to do.

Its the same here.when the internet is down.I'm down..when internet is not in my house.I try to read the newspaper.If there is nothing else to do.i go to sleep.

this is one of the most horrible things to happen if you are in-front of the computer, doing some stuff in the internet, posting on mylot, and then suddenly, the connection is lost. yeah you are right my friend, it is better to go to sleep. (neildc @ red/88/1522)
