which natural disaster you are afraid most?

I am not sure which disaster would be the worst out of the whole lot of them. Maybe I would say I am scared of hurricanes the most since drowning would not be the best way of dying, there would be a lot of pain and sorrow in it, but all disasters have that. But most of all I fear war, which in my eyes is a natural disaster because humans naturally have wars on earth, it's just our nature. War is not on accident like most earthly disaster, it is on purpose with so much hate and misunderstanding between nations, that is worse than anything the earth can throw at us since the earth does not mean to do things in hate. I would rather drown in a flood then have a bomb dropped on my family, and then leave many years of harm in my community, while a flood lasts a few days and then things can be rebuilt. It's hard to rebuild things after war, especially friendships between nations, so I would say war is my most feared disaster.

Same here. I'm really afraid of Earthquakes. Because way back 12 years ago here in my place has a intensfying earthquake that kills many people and most of them arent recovered.

I was thinking hard as all of them are very scary. But I think in my area, earthquake would be the one I'm most afraid of. Typhoons are really scary as well but we don't get major ones in my city.

Mine would be floods, followed by fires. Did you know floods claim more homes every year than fires?

I am mostly afraid of tornadoes. And when we have tornado warnings at night you can't see a thing. Hurricanes are the next, we don't get many hurricanes, but once I remember one that did make it to my little corner of the world around 2:00 am in the morning I thought it was going to take the roof off the house, I laid in the bed with the flash light shinning on the ceiling. I was thinking if it takes the roof off I will have to get under the bed.

i afraid earthquake and tsunami. well its happened many times in Indonesia, and get many people lost and passed away, i lost my best friend in that times. sigh, the tool to detect it is too lame and not usefull. . .

I guess I would have to currently be most concerened with earthquakes and wild fires since I live in California.

I am most afraid of the ones that you have no real warning of like tornadoes and earth quakes. Where I live on the US south east coast we have hurricanes and I can deal with them. I know when they are coming and I can get ready for them and know pretty much what to expect but I have never lived through any other type of natural storms and wouldn't have any idea how to deal with them. I'm sure that I would do OK if I had enough warning or had time to prepare for them but I would be terrified nevertheless.

Maybe any kind that could take off people's lives....

Hi friend,In the place where we live there aren't any chances for natural disasters.I haven't experienced even one.We have the chances of getting earthquakes bcoz of numerous bores in the ground they make to get water.So am scared of earthquakes.Losing the people you love is very dreadful.Am not able to even think of that.thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

These natural disasters are really terrible.I think the one I am afraid of most is earthquake.That's because I had just experienced an earthquake.Many people know that there was a terrible earthquake in Sichuan,China.I live near the center of the quake,so I was frightened.Many people were killed in the earthquake.

the natural disasters of any sort frightens me!!! but the one that scares me is the earthquakes and the tsunamis!!!!! both of them do not give us any warning before coming... and leave the land devastated!!

All the disasters have huge negative impact on mankind. Even it is earthquake, typhoons or floods, the life every person gets disturbed. The most terrifying natural disaster for me is earthquake as a huge earthquake hit Pakistan Northern Areas in 2005 and homes of many were ruined. I have no such memory as my home was far away from the earthquake but the scenes on television showed the misery of people and I am afraid of that.

Disaster is Disaster here or there. It is worst ever where. Floods and heavy rains. What do you think of Heavy rains and floods. It damages every thing where it happens. In the recent days there was a very heavy rains and Rivers flooding. Severs of the city choked and dirty water every where in the houses shops and market places every where. It took many lives and people losses lacs of dollers by damages to the commodities and eatables to garments to other perishables. It really hurt.

Well I think that hurricanes would be the worst, but I live in utah, so that's not going to happen. I guess a fire is the most likely, so I suppose i should fear that the most. I don't really worry about that type of thing. I just live.

Earthquakes! I have experienced a killer earthquake last 1990. It hit our city. I was a first year college student then. I was at the school at that time at the 3rd floor of our department building having a lesson. All of us was scared because it really shook the building. We ran fast as we can get down of the building. All students stayed at the open area of the school premises. That time i took a walk all way to our house because no jeepneys available. The roads were devastated by the quake. Phone lines were cut and electricity was off too. We experienced many after shocks from that day onwards. A terrible experienced it was!

Growing up on the Gulf of Mexico, I used to be fascinated by hurricanes. After going through Hurricane Katrina though, I am defineatly over my fascination. I absolutely dread tropical storms and hurricanes now. For any of you who want to weather out a hurricane becuase it "no big deal" remember that you never know what exact conditions you will face at your house.
