Are you using enough water? Just a thought, sometimes my macaroni does this to me. Actually, I am incapable of makine shell macaroni because of this very thing. But spagetti I generally have decent luck with. Also, you could try adding just a tablespoon or so of olive oil or veg. oil, I have heard that this helps them not stick together as badly. Just make sure that you have a couple of inches of water above the spagetti and if you see it getting low before it's done, add some more water. Hope this helps, I do hate sticky undercooked noodles!!! I am the only person on earth that cannot cook shell mac and who burns water!!!:-)

I totally agree -- I don't use oil - I don't think it works...personally. But I'm addicted to food network and they always say to a lot of water for pasta

Hi Shar19
Just as everyone else has said use a little oil I prefer Olive Oil in your water also make sure you have enough water and that it comes to a boil before you put your spaghetti in it and try to fan out the noodles insteasd of sticking them all in one place in the pot a bigger pot would also be a good idea.
You could try using angel hair pasta it doesn't take long at all to cook I use it from time to time and it doesn't stick on me at all.

add a little cooking oil to your water & you may need to use a bigger pot w/more water.

Do you add oil to it? Surely it will stick if you don't add oil to the boiling water for the noodles. Also if it becomes overcooked of course its tendency is to clump and stick together. Hope this helps you.

Simple. You aren't putting enough water in the pot. Use a bigger pot and put in as much water as the pot can hold. Your pasta wont stick.

An easy fix, is just to not drain the spaghetti completely dry. I used to do the same thing, then someone told me that. I had never even really given it much thought. Of course, I hadn't prepared a lot of meals for anyone at the time. (I was only 18 years old.) Sure enough, the first time I fix spaghetti for someone, they point it out to me.
I guess I have the tendency to learn things the hard way. LOL
At least you noticed it on your own. Hope this simple tip is helpful to you.
Good luck, and have a great day!

I always put a little oil in the water,
that seems to help.
