Do you use only internet when you research for something?

I use both internet and books for research. I love going to the library and search for information. Even the librarians can be helpful. Newspapers and magazines are also used in my research. I found out some information are only available in books.

as of now, yes. Because it is the most accessible and the cheapest too. It's costly to buy books. But some information you need in the book are not all published in the Internet because of copyrights but if I really need books then I have no choice but as long as the topic couldbe available online then Internet remains the best source of information.

I use the internet in many ways. I am now into blogging so internet is very useful for me. Also, I communicate with my friends and thru internet at times. We would email each other or chat. Also, I use internet to make extra money apart from my office work.

I always access the internet for everything. It is a complete library for me as well. I think it is the best invention in many years. The internet is huge and has a treasure trove of information and knowledge. For university assignments, most often than not I could get away by just getting some references/bibliographies from the internet. However, when I need to find more detailed information, the internet tends to disappoint me. It is that time when I need to refer to books and journals. Yeah, but definitely wikipedia is the best site to start searching for general information.

to be honest with you, i don't read much books anymore lately because as you say we can find all the answers that we need from the internet... it is a bit sad though that internet will replace books at some stage and we won't appreciate the person who took the efforts to write the books anymore... take care and have a nice day...

I would say that I still prefer books when it comes to contents that I'm getting compared to the contents I'm getting from the internet when I do my research. But practicality wise internet is always available and you don't have to go anywhere else to get information.

I've stopped buying encyclopedias long ago when softcopy versions were made available such as Encarta or Compton's Encyclopedia. My father used to have a set of encyclopedia at home and there were at least 20+ volumes of 1.5 inch think manuals taking up so much shelf space. Nowadays whenever I need to research something, I conveniently turn to the internet. There's so much information that can be mined from the internet that I will never exhaust everything that's available. It is also so convenient to reach the information since I am sitting at my PC much of each day. So for most of what I need to research, books are out for me. I've certainly saved a lot of cost over the years by not buying books.

Yup, I still research on books once in a while since the library is not near our place. it is still nice to search on books sometimes because I believe there are some things that is only written on the book? lolz.. cheers

Hi Masmasika. I do most of my research on the internet. I hardly ever look in a book to find answers anymore. There is so much information on the internet nowadays. It's so much easier that way.

In maximum cases I use to prefer to research any thing. I think the internet provides any thing that you want. In most of the cases I am going to search in internet only why because it very easy and very effect way to know about some thing.

Yea, I use the internet to search for anything. Whenever I have a paper to write, I always use the internet. Now, since the internet has improved over the years, people from anywhere can post anything online now a days. So you have to be careful from where you get your information.

I do not read much books now. The internet even has, newspapers and news. Even watching television has stopped with me. I seen to do everything on here. Even my grocery shopping. It is a great dictionary, and has everything you need to know on here. I have learnt things on the internet that I would probably never have.

Of course most of the research we need to use internet for information as its easy, more information, and fast. Internet has allow us to be very convince on look for information related to our research. I do use books some of the time as i would prefer find information through books as its more time saving and focus. In internet there are a bunch of information and we need to read it and skim through.I agreed that internet is act as a library.

Only internet no one will use, every one will take someones help first.That is either friends or seniors or teachers after that also some thing can be found from books also.

No.But whatever pops in my mind, I do my research in the internet. I barely use books anymore for research. A simple word meaning or phonetics, i even use the internet. I also use internet for paying my bills and shopping some stuff sometimes. I also get to watch online the tv programs i missed. It is really necessary for me to have internet connection otherwise, i think im gonna be bored.

I like reading, but now i spend more time on computer, i do like enjoying a good article while lying on bed. Surfing in internet sometimes take too much time while not finding anything useful, it's a waste of time.
