Besides giving presents to you children if you have little ones, do you exchange presents between you and your honey? Money has been tied in the last few years and we are getting older so there is not that much under the tree anymore. I always try to at least get 1 or 2 little presents for my honey. It's nice to have a little something to open on christmas.

What I have done in the past is make a scrapbook for my husband of our life together and gave that to him for Christmas. In the scrap book I wrote little snips of how I felt when each picture was being taken or how I felt when I looked at the pic. Another thing I have done is a combo cd with pics of our kids and music that plays as a slide show of our children's pics are played on the computer. The CD can also be played on a cd player. Multipurpose and a memory of the ones that love him the most. I have found that a program called Nero works great to do the pic and music cd.

It's always an exciting thing to think that you have something to look forward to on christams eve opening gift especially coming from your "honey", what gets more exciting is if you are thinking to give your special someone a gift. For me shopping for gifts to your special someone is the most exciting thing to think about. I already have a list to buy for my godchildren, my parents and my younger siblings and my maternal grandmother. But, even if I want to buy a gift for special someone, I have no boyfriend at the moment, lol!so I will save for it the next holiday.hehehe. Although there is someone I always think to buy a gift, but lately we are in trouble, I mean just a little misunderstanding, and I don't think we can fix it. So I stall my idea of giving him a gift because it is silly to buy him one when he dreaded my presence. very sad

Yes, that's what I am praying right now, to find someone. I am getting tired being single and alone, hope God will finally answer my prayer. Have a happy holiday to you and your family. God bless!

My fiance and I don't have any children but our close friends have children so we get them gifts every year. We as well do both of our parents and we have always given gifts to eachother. It is nice waking up Christmas morning and having a few gifts that we can open up.

Yes, we do exchange gifts. We give ourselves a little allowance during the year and at the end of the year, we use that to buy each other something for Christmas. I wouldn't feel right not getting him something.

That's a good idea, just put a little away here and there and by christmas you have money.

It's really hard when money is tight. When I don't have much money to spend on my loved ones I give coupons. Don't scoff yet. Here are some that I like. =] "Good for one day with me uninterrupted by anyone" "Free back rub" "10 hugs" Just things like that. I like to use fun construction paper and other decorations to make it cute. =]

My husband is not ome for shopping and buying presents, he never has been. I handle the money and that was given to me when he was hurt on his job and in the hospital for so long, and it has just stayed that way. He always tells me to just get what I want. It is not the same, I have tried to tell him to just go get something I don't care what it is just that he went and picked it out and that anything would make me happy but he won't do it. So I buy my own and just be satisfied with that. But I make sure that he has a nice Christmas. Money is tight, but I buy for everyone, even if it is just something small. Some women don't know how lucky they are that their husbands go out and shop for presents for them.

I'm the same, I always try to at least get one nice gift for my honey. It is nice to at least have something to open on Christmas, and that's the fun of it - not necessarily getting something, but watching someone else get something they really like, even if it's small : )

Hi there! I would suggest to give your honey or your children a quality time this holidays! like go on a place with your family, as it happens once in a while. ive been working alone so far and i seldom go home with my parents and siblings. the last time i got home was just two weeks ago, only two days a stayed at home with them and you bet, its not enough. i must say that theres no such wonderful gift than that. although you would have thought that you had your family everyday but still try to go on a different ambience that all of you fin have a quality time for a while. Have a nice day!

We always try to, but we have four kids and lots of other family and so it can be really hard to have any spare to spend on each other. I do always buy him a little bit of something because you are right it is nice to have something to open on the day rather than just sit and watch the children. Its funny how when we are little we just take it for granted that we will get presents and then as we get older it just stops it is really sad!

Within the 23 years that we've been together I and my hubby have never failed giving gift at each other during Christmas and all other meaningful occasions in our life like birthdays, anniversaries and valentine's day. Indeed life is hard but I thank God we never go too less not to afford buying gift at all. Certainly it os nice to have a little something to open on Christmas eve. It does not need to be very expensive. Anything that will make my honey feel he is remembered on special occasion. Christmas is all about giving and if I will not be able to give to the most important person in my life then I think I am committing the biggest error in my life. I'm glad I am blessed that I have a hubby who is just as thoughtful or should I say even more generous because more often than not...it is he who gives expensive ones.

My husband and I still exchange gifts. We don't spend a lot on each other since money is always tight. That's o.k. with both of us. Just the small things make me happy. Even though we only buy a couple things for each other it's still nice to see something under the tree that we can give each other and not just the gifts to the kids.

I do give presents to my hubby, and he does in return give me gifts. he usually spends more on me than I do him, but I put alot of thought into it and as for him, he just kind of listens to me talk about what I want and if he can find it he goes and gets it. so either way it's great to have something to open up for that special morning. so yes I was taught it's the thought that counts. even if it's a card. or a hug, it's ok to me. Yes we do exchange prsents. Now that the kids are older and have thier own things going on he and I will be cooking our Holiday dinner together. We have always done this as a family but I don' expect the kids to be into the actual preparing this year ( although I'm sure they'll eat it! LOL) so he and I will be cooking together. As far as our presents they are usually something small and personal. We don't go overboard on each other.
