Do you need to be alone when you are sick?

I notice that some people like to have other people by their bed side when they are sick, pampering them and talking to them. I can't relate to them at all. I don't like to have someone around when I am sick.
I'm unattractive when I'm sick, I don't feel like being looked at. I don't need to be pitied, I'll be fine. Plus, if I can just roll over and get some sleep or at least some quiet time, I will probably feel a lot better in a few hours. I wouldn't want to worry about having to keep someone entertained.

I like to rest when I am sick. I prefer to be alone if everyone else is healthy. I really don't like to make everyone else sick. But I don't like to cook, etc. when I am sick either. And since I am the mommy I am always cooking, etc. Mommies are not supposed to get sick!
But it is nice if my husband or my oldest makes me some nice hot soup and I can just rest in bed and feel better. Now, if all of us are sick then I am the one that is dosing up everyone with medicine, cooking the meals, and making sure that everyone gets better as soon as possible.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Sometimes I like having someone with me when I'm sick but it just depends on how annoying they're really being. Sometimes it's nice having someone just sitting with me because it can be comforting when I'm not feeling well. Sometimes though it can be annoying because they're constantly bothering me or chattering away and all I want is some peace and quiet so I can feel better.

I need my mom beside me whenever i am sick. I need her hand on my head and she should be talking to me. And usually what happens is that she is busy in her work like cooking, cleaning, and shopping and i dont want her to do anything else beside sitting with me. But now i am alone in a foreign country for my studies and i got sick over here, and there was no one with me. It was the worst feeling i ever had here. I hope this will not happen to me again.

Sometimes I like the feeling of not being alone in the same room, even if I am pretty much passed out. However, if they are being loud and annoying, I probably want to be alone, LOL. The last thing I want to hear are my son and husband (his stepdad) being stupid and obnoxious with each other, especially if the illness involves a headache. I'm doing good to put up with that on a normal day!!! It is nice to have someone around to get you some water and maybe a few meds when you feel bad, though. I remember having bronchitis twice within about a two year time frame. This first time my parents were traveling, and I was MISERABLE alone in the house - I had no idea how sick I was, and was working my first job. The second time, I got to sleep a lot to heal, and only woke up long enough to take some medicine, drink some tea, and eat some toast which my mom brought me a few times a day. So, I don't really need pampering, but just someone to help and to have a presence is nice. :)

I also like to be alone when I'm sick. My dad used to say I was like a little puppy dog that crouches in a corner by himself when he doesn't feel well. when I start wanting attention is when I'm starting to feel better. Then people can pamper me but not when I feel rotten.

Yes, I agree with you. It's good that my family respects me every time I don't feel well. They just see to it that I get what I need and then they respect my privacy and leave the room.

Hi! There are times I want to be left alone when i'm sick just to have that much needed rest and sleep, definitely you are not in your best mood to answer all their question why i'm sick. There are times if my ailment is not really that bad,it is still ok to have somebody with me just to attend to my needs. And I just want my family to be that somebody.

when i am sick, i usually prefer to be alone during most of the day and around people right before i go to bed.
having lots of people around me makes me mad and afraid to get them sick, so i like to be alone. but if i am alone all day i start to get lonely, and i need creature comfort

i think when one is sick, he/she should not be alone, a loved one should be there to shower the sick with love.

if i'm very sick, i want somebody take care of me. but if i'm not that bad, it's fine to leave it to me. i think it's very good to have somebody who are really caring about us, isn't it?
