hello everybody here at Mylot.
well this morning after that i dropped my eleven year old son off at the bus stop, i came back home and got out the yellow pages and called around to different Dentist's offices here in town. well the cheapest place that i found to go to was Affordable Dentures just right down the street from me. they wanted $125.00 total, that included an exam, x-ray and for the extraction of the tooth if need be or not. i might just need my teeth cleaned real good or something like that. but that one tooth in the back part of my mouth thou does feel like that it is loose. good news is, with the money that i have coming to me in March from the internet, and also the extra money that i make from my part-time job, hopefully by the end of next week or so, i will have the $125.00 that i need to go to the Dentist with. so in the meantime i will just keep rinsing my mouth and brushing all of the time until i can afford to get back to the Dentist.
so tell me, has anybody around here at Mylot ever heard of Affordable Dentures before? and if so, have you ever been to see them? if so, what did you have done?
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful day today.

No, I have never heard of a place like this, but that does sound like a pretty good deal. I need to see a Dentist as I am having some major issues due to being Diabetic, etc. but can never afford one, so my teeth just continue to get worse.

I'm sorry you are still having a problem with that tooth. Don't think I've heard of Affordable Dentures. Hopefully you can get to the dentist by the end of the week and get the problem resolved. I still think they may not pull the tooth if it's absessed. Atleast they didn't years ago since the concern was the tooth would shatter and spread infection. It's been so long since I had a tooth pulled.
Hope you feel better soon and get some relief this week,
carolbee

That is still a lot of money. I'm glad I have dental insurance. It's good that you found one that you can go to, even if you must use every cent you have earned.
I will say that if you talk to the dentist when you go there they may give you a discount. But make sure you talk to them before they start doing anything on you.
My brother told a doctor that he wasn't working and his visit was free. He just had to buy the meds he needed because the docotr didn't have it.

No, the one I went to wasn't that cheap but it was really good! For dentists, I usually ask my friends and see if they have good referrals before I go make an appointment, I think it's safer that way.

I have heard of them but I haven't ever been to one of them. However, it sounds as though you may have an abcessed tooth and my solution to aid with the pain until you get to the dentist is to rinse your mouth with peroxide. It will bubble the infection out of the tooth. I have done this many times and I find that it helps a lot as I have bad teeth and don't have the money to have them fixed. I wish you the best of luck as I know a toothache is the worst pain in the world and it seems to always hurt worse at nighttime.

That is not bad at all. I had to pay that much for them to e-xray my mouth and write me a script for an antibiotic once. They did not do a cleaning or pull a tooth for that amount. I wish I had gone to a place like that. I have never heard of Affordable Dentures before.

Once you get this tooth taken care of, go to the dentist every 6 months so you don't have this problem again. Preventative dentistry is usually cheaper than waiting for an emergency and having to get teeth pulled out.

wow I wish I could find a dentist that cheap around me. I need some massive dental work and everyone is to expensive. One Doctore want over 6,000 just to fix my teeth. I dont have that so I have not went back to another dentist. My teeth hurt and I just want them to get pulled I dont want anything fancy. 125.00 I would be real happy with lol.

No, Tn, I have not heard of that one before, but $125.00 for the whole visit is pretty good. I hope you don't need a root canal, they are a heck of a lot more that $125.00!
I had one bad tooth in my mouth my whole life so far and it was awful. After a root canal (and lots of pain), a crown (and lots of money), I finally had to have the damn thing extracted anywasy and an implant put in. (LOTS and LOTS of money!)
I hope you mounth feels better soon, but have a great day anyway!
