Well ,I am a Chinese high school student and I like English very much.I learned Engish at the age of 10.I often watch some English movies and listen good songs. I have a dream.I want to study in America .Because I want to make friends with American students and teachers. And I want to tell them something about my country,my life. Most of American teenagers know Chinese kung fu but we not only have kung fu.We also have great culture, beautiful places ,friendly people and so on. OK.Do you want to have a chance to study in your draemed country? Please tell us what do you think?

I'm a Chinese.I wanted to study overseas indeed so I could experience a different culture by myself when I was at school. But I didn't got enough money in my family.Right now I'm graduated and working in a corporation.I think my time has passed for studying in a different country because I'm no longer in the mood.Maybe I would make a journey to the country I dreamed of someday when I have enough money and time.

It's all about the money... If I've some much money, I'll do. Because overseas studying need more cost. Living cost and another accidentally cost. I'm not prepared for that.

I think study in foreign is a dream to the common people,we should supply our family first.

Study overseas? Why not? I am so excited if i am able to study overseas; not that i hate study in my own country, but to experience life with different culture and environment. As Chinese learns Kungfu, we here in Malaysia learns Silat. And yes, different places do have different culture, and i am looking forward to it - if i get the chances. By the way, my dream country would be in Korea - i want to learn a lot of its dialects; esecially their clothers - superb!

Having a dream to study overseas is really good. But what I am gonna tell you is that it should not just a dream. No matter where you are born and no matter what your family is, you absolutely have a chance to go abroad. You might be a high school student now, but entering a university, especially a famous schools in China, like Peking, Tsinghua, Fudan, Wuhan Univ. etc. you will find out many many students are preparing for that. What you are supposed to do is keep hard-working, enhance your academic backgroud, earn a excellent GPA, involved in some researches, some day it will come true. USA provide numerous scholarship for excellent students. In short, I mean, if you have a dream, find the way to make it come true. I believe you can do that.

I had this dream earlier, but it is a very costly proposition. While, spending less money, I can have an ok kind of life inside my country, why should I go to take extra botheration? Thus, I have shaken off the delusion.

Back when I was younger I would have jumped at the change to go around from Country to Country to learn a little about their language, customs, experience the food, etc. I still would Love to at least still visit some of the many wonderful countries out there, but to live somewhere else would be a hard thing to do. But you never know if it could happen. I guess if it did it would have to be God leading me there for some reason.

Hi xuefei, I think it is very important to live in another country and to not only get to know the language, but to become familar with the culture as well. If you get the chance to study abroad then you should take it. It is true that it is difficult to live and work in another country, especially when you have to stay longer than just for a short holiday, but there is no better way to get to know the people. Besides, if more people in the world would do this, then we would have more tolerance and understanding for each other and many future wars could be avoided. Have a good week. Umart

I once had a chance when I was 16. But I refused it that time. As my parents were not wealthy, and the cost of study aboard were so heavy for them. So I chose to study in my place. If you ask me: Would I chose the same way as before if went back in time? I don't know, maybe yes, maybe no. I also have good experience in my college life. When you are old enough, look over your life, you can judge what is the best. But now you will never know what is really the best of you. Anyway, if you want one thing, do your best to make it done.
