Dilemma! Get Paid Sooner Or Wait?

I'm not sure what to do! It's getting very close to the end of the month, and I'm about 60 cents away from reaching a payout! I've been trying very hard to post as much as I can so that I can get paid next month! But unfortunately I have become very burnt out on MyLot! I am just not in the mood to post! I've been browsing discussions, and I can't find a single one that I'm in the mood to respond to! So I am trying to decide if I should force myself to respond to discussions even if I don't feel like it so I can reach that payout, or if I should just take a break and post as much as I can next month so that my next payment will be really high. What would you do? Would you rather get paid sooner or wait and get more money in a month? Is it worth it to you to post if you don't feel like it in order to reach payout?

This if my first payout and i worked i believe hard to get it. I'm excited to see some extra money in my paypal account. Also if i was close to reaching payout i would be working extremely hard the last week to make sure i would be reaching it. It's a lot of work just to get 50 cents in one day for me, but i know if i can post a lot and respond to a lot of discussions i can make payout by doing that every month.

Yah, I usually get paid 5-6 cents a day, so 50 cents would be A LOT for me! I have done it before though... but it took a lot of work!

I always need the money! ;) That is a good point though! I plan on buying a new video game system next month. Having that extra $10 in my bank next month might help... Thank you!

Hello trickiwoo! It's been my dilemma too. I would really like to reach payout this month. It has been my goal. I am totally burnt out too and that I can't see any discussion to respond too that's why I decided to make a new discussion so that I can reach payout.
So my answer is clear. I want to get paid sooner than wait for another 30 days to get my payout.

Are you close to reaching a payout? I hope you are! If not, I hope you're posting like crazy to reach that goal!!! And even if you don't make your goal, that just means you'll get a bigger payment next month!

My case is different from yours but i can relate to that burnout thing that you are having. I can't stop to reply on someone else's discussion since i make a goal for this month to have $15.00 before the end of the month comes.
Even if i have to endure and answer some silly questions, i really have too because i want to achieve my goal, not because i want the pay now, but i do want to achieve something for myself.
And do to this, i have to post and participate in every discussion even if i have answered most questions of the same issues. For now i have $14.40, i need only $0.60 cents to make it till tomorrow will be the last chance to make it up. I will stil encourage you to stay positive. It is really difficult but i know i can achieve it and it will happen. Happy Mylotting

I rather get paid sooner, but I understand how you feel when it comes to replying to dicussions based on your mood or if it's relevant to respond.
I have the same problem, but yet I don't force myself so I wait for the following month to answer as much as I can hoping I will reach my set payout, which is 10 bucks.

I come to mylot because I enjoy the discussions as well as the pay. My advice would be to give yourself a break and join the discussions again when you don't feel burnt out. I pushed myself too much and finally just walked away completely. After a year I am back, but think of all the money I could have made in that year?! All because I was worried about getting to pay-out each month. I say this should be something you enjoy so you will keep at it long-term.

Write when you feel like it. If you are passionate about writing, then it isn't just about the money. Writers get writer's block sometimes and don't get the urge to create either. If it's just about the money, then by all means, post away. It just won't have the meaning and the passion behind it. If you are serious about writing what you think and feel, then wait until you think and feel something.

I don't think you should force yourself to post more if your not really feeling like doing so. That could cause you to not really do quality posts. If you find a topic your interested in, then you should post.
Who cares if you don't reach it this month, it means you'll have even more money next month. :)

I think waiting for your mood is better! I always go for my mind and ask whether I wish to do a work or not! If I really feel I can enjoy the work what I do, I can go ahead and do the work!
I suggest you to enjoy whatever you do - mylotting! I wish your quality also matters and you need to maintain the quality of your posts as many people know you and always expect a quality consistently from you. This is another angle to look at your problem - your social responsibility for mylotting! If you really feel like you can give quality even when you don't have mood to post, then you can go ahead for getting paid sooner.

it is not a matter up to me,cause i'm here for friendship and learning, money is the additional bonus to me that means it's a big nothing
as in you case you said you want a game machine, but would it so that eager to that?
or you may better have some patience for it as it's not the very important things
in my opinoin i hope you meke yourself easy with anything and not eager

i would prefer to wait and get paid more the following month... i never want to stress myself here and force myself too much... i just want to enjoy myself and take it easy here... i treat the earnings here as a bonus as i also have a full time job on top of this... so i am definitely not forcing myself if i don't feel to post or respond here... good luck... take care and have a nice day...

Well, what I usually do is to wait for the following month.
No point forcing yourself so much that you end up loath coming here.
And that would be worst in the long run.
Better to wait and get a bigger payout the following month than to try and cram a few more in during a burnt out.
As long as you average about one payment a month at the end of the year, it is still the same!

I guess if you really need the money from this payout, you need to do whatever you can to try and make it. You still have atleast a full day to make it. It's definately possible to do.
I on the other hand am so far from payout (over 3 dollars) that I have pretty much accepted the fact that I will be waiting an extra month. Although I am a little disappointed by my efforts this month, I'm looking forward to challenging myself for April. I don't really plan on doing anything with my earnings until October, so I'm really not stressing too much about this payout, but I do want to make up for the lag next month.

Good luck with your earnings in April! And good luck saving up for October! It's good to take breaks every now and then! If you get too burnt out, you won't make it to October! So if your earnings aren't very high one month, don't worry yourself too much over it!

It really depends on how bad you need the money financially or for motivation. Personally if I were you, I would just take the money now just so that I would continue to post because it seems as if you are getting bored of mylot and do not have much inspiration. Personally, I only post when I feel like it because when I do not feel like posting, my posts are very bad and I do not enjoy it as much. Good luck and happy mylotting!

Well it depends. If you really necessarily need the money then what are you waiting for ! Go for it, start posting like crazy on any discussion and before you know it you'll reach the money you need it.
