Do you always buy expensive clothes?Today, one of my workmates advised me to buy expensive clothes cuz she thinks my clothes are not of good quality.I know she means good, but I still feel a little down when hearing this.Im the person who usually dresses casually.I admit I dont often buy expensive clothes .I do can afford several pieces of expensive ones but I dont think its necessary to buy them. They are costy.I can save the money for other use,for example, travelling. But my workmate thinks girls of my age should wear good clothes. Its important in finding a spouse.Do expensive clothes really make you look good?Do you think down of people who dont wear good quality clothes?Or do you judge people by their clothes?Mind you,my clothes are not as worse as you think.Im obliged to know what you think about this.

I'm very much concerned about the quality, look and feel and the comfort that it gives when I wear it.
If this is going to cost me much, I don't bother to spend on it.
Appearance also matters to a greater extent for me.
Because, not just the person.. it is also the dressing that builds up the personality for anyone.
A person cannot groom himself of herself without concentration on the dressing.
If you are not concerned about the way you appear, then a cloth for cover you could be anything.

Hello sweetyethot I understand you're a simple lady. If you're asking my point of view, your friend is a luxurious lady. She never cares if she don't have savings as long as she can have a very expensive dress.
Forget your luxurious friend, she's a bad influence of your good quality. Do and act what you are use to be. Wearing expensive dresses has nothing compared to clean, simple and good looking cheap dresses.
It would have been better if when you buy expensive clothes you could wear it with the price tag still stick on it so every body around would know that you're wearing expensive clothes, but that's not the way it is.
Better be humble than being boastful, there are more men like simple woman than someone like socialite lady.....Cheer up..

hi there.
First, I do not buy expensive clothes always.
Well, sometimes, I do, if its really really nice and worth buying.:)
But then, I can survive with 'not so' expensive clothes because I think clothes should not be the judgment of 'how' a certain person it.
that's just my stand on it.
=)

I don't except for my tennis apparels, well I really don't buy them for myself but my hubby does all the time. I have sets of nike's and addidas but aside from them, I don't wear expensive stuffs. I'm just a very casual person who feels comfortable in jeans and rubber shoes.

Quality does not necessarily mean expensive. I do not care what brand of clothes I wear as long as it is cotton or wool and it is made well. Spending money on something just because it has a certain name does not mean it will look better on you or fit you better or is made better all it means is it costs more. So go for what fits and looks good on you and is made well and do not concern yourself with what other people say because they are only materialistic. :)

I also think quality does not necesarily mean expensive.lol I like clothes that are comfortable and trendy.Generally speaking,my clothes are not bad cuz most of them are in style though they may not be well_made.lol My workmate thinks that clothes make a person while I think clothes can only build up a person's personality in some ways.

Expensive clothes cannot be easily worn out cuz they are more likely to be of good quality .They last for years but you'll grow tired of it.Or they'll be out of style. Thanks for your responding.

Hi there sweetyethot!
I am a practical person. Being practical does not mean that I buy whatever is cheap. If I have to spend on clothes, I would spend on something that is worth my money. My clothes need not be those that are expensively branded. It just have to be of good quality. Expensive clothes do not make a person. Wearing them won't necessarily make one look better.

Cloths are something which can change your overall personality, But then they need not be expensive. You should check the quality of the fabric so that it looks good even after frequent washes. If you are working in an office and have to deal with clients then its necessary that you be in an official look and the fabric material of your dress is good. Its not true that only expensive branded clothes give you the extra glitz". To Be very true its your personality which gives you an edge over others. And I agree 100% with you when you say you can buy necessary things with the money you save buying inexpensive cloths. Cloths are a basic necessity so are other things too.You should spend for good food and living rather then mere clothing. And as far as getting a spouse is concerned I think go for the guy who looks beyond what you are wearing. Flaunting expensive designer cloths doesnot mean you are a genuine human being.Choose the person who can see the very expensive heart that you possess embedded in your chest. Dont feel down, be proud to flaunt your choice afterall its you who should be comfortable in, not others.

i don't buy clothes for it's price or name. i buy one by looking at its design, fit and color.
what's the point of spending too much for one item if you can only wear it once in a while -- not unless you're going to three times a week. hahaha..
i will only buy an expensive one if i really really like it or i'm obliged to get one.

It is way of expressing luxury towards society. By wearing expensive dress people want to show they are modern people.

I dont buy expensive clothes. its too expensive and its just wasting money. there are more important things than the clothes. i prefer to buy the cheaper one. as long as you know how to carry or handle your self they did not notice it anymore wither its expensive or cheap or may it came to a second hand store.

Usually it's got a classic look in which you can wear it for years. Or that quality's really great that you won't need to throw it out after a few months. You're really wearing the brand.

I don't judge clothes by how much they cost, but on how well made they are. Unless you are wearing 'designer' labels, it's hard to tell where a pair of jeans comes from or how well made they are!
I used to work as a machinist and believe me the sweatshirts we made whether the budget 'no-label' or the expensive 'labelled' golf or football designed ones were made in the same way, to the same standards and of the same quality material.
It's not cost that makes you look good either, it's wearing clothes that fit well, suit your size and colouring and that you feel 'good' in.
Because of my size I often buy 'girls' clothes or 'boys' jeans. Not because they are cheaper but because they fit better and therefore look better.
I would bet money on the fact that your work collegue wouldn't know the difference.
Wear the clothes you like and tell her you prefer to spend the 'extra' money on things you want or need more!

If I do buy something expensive, it is something that is timeless and classic and bought for quality, in order for it to last. For stuff that I know does not need to be such quality, I buy less expensive.
When I was in Italy, this past summer, I noticed that they all wore quality clothes and did not have a lot of clothes and shoes. They paid more but expected them to last for a long time. In the long run, it cost them less.
So, it depends on your point of view. If you buy cheap and it does not last, it is not cheap. If you pay more but get more out of it, it is worth it.

I'm a very tall person and have to wear tall clothes which usually are more costly than others. But I'm also a bargain-hunting person. I try not to pay the full price for anything. If it is too expensive, then I just wait until it goes on sale. But I go for clothes that look good on me and fit well. If WalMart has something that fits and looks good, then I'd buy it. I don't have to go to the most expensive stores.
I think, if you look good in less expensive clothes and they suit you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing them. I think your workmate is wrong in telling you that your clothes are not good enough. If you are neat and clean, then you are fine. Clothes do not find you a spouse! If that is what it takes, then you don't need one. I believe your personality plays more a part than if you are wearing expensive clothes. I know I wasn't wearing expensive clothes when I met my husband-to-be. In fact, back then, I made most of my clothes. I grew up with a Mother who sewed for us and other people. Then I learned to sew for myself. I wore nice clothes, but they weren't expensive since I made them myself. I never heard my husband back then say one thing about what I had on. I made the clothes I wore on our first date!

No, I really don't buy expensive clothes. You can choose a clothes that is good to look at even it's not branded, as long as it fits you. Just be a smart dresser. Dress properly according to the occassion. Well, casual dress is good for ordinary days and you can look good if you choose a good color combination. Let's be practical, spend wisely.

good quality clothes do last longer and fit better there fore saving money but you can buy a expensive Suit and just a plain white cotton shirt from a department store to mix and match the prices.

The clothes do no make the person, the person makes the person. I wear what ever clothes strike my fancy, some people think I dress always in expensive clothes. Usually in nice brand name clothes, but second hand clothes are rarely expensive. So I never buy expensive clothes, even if it looks that way. I do buy, comfortable clothes that I think would look nice on me.
