I invested on what i had. Since i like cooking, i planned for a catering biz. I estimated the cost and listed down all the necessary stuff, including manpower. Assess your market too. In your case, i see that you enjoy doing the job so you can explore on this possibility. Maybe you should just work on your finances and legalities of establishing that kind of biz.

My husband runs a small sharpening business which he's had as a sideline since 1985. He started with many years of grinding experience. He bought a machine ($7000 was a lot of money back then), built a room in the garage for it, and went around to local businesses leaving his card and seeing if he could do work for them. He's made over $20,000 some years just doing it part time. I sold rubber stamps on ebay for quite a while. That was hard work and little profit. I would never try to sell small ticket items on ebay, because the fees eat you up.

I used to have my own online business but it did not work out and had to shut it down. My ex-friend helped me get started with it and all the procedures involved, like licensing and being able to accept credit card payments.

Yes, I am an artist. I started with a website. Then I did the auctions for exposure. www.mgcreativearts.com Good luck. P.S. If you are going to work out of the house, you need a lot of money. $100,000 or more to start.

I started my own tax business this year. I've worked for several large public accounting firms and a few small local accounting firms and finally decided it was time I worked for myself. I didn't take any of the clients from my previous firms, but a couple of them found me after I opened up my practice (that happens when you have a unique name). Most of my current clients are from referrals of these few who found me.

I don't have one yet. I want one someday. They say that people that have their own business are alot richer than the average working people. And I want to be one of those people.

Well, let me put it this way, at one time i Served the Armed forces in SriLanka ( SriLanka Commando Regiment), then after that we had our family Business going thourgh in SriLanka and I was well off, then unfortunatly I had a car Accident and I broke my leg, and now for the past 04 years or so i'am going through a very hard time. recently I invested some cash which I've borowed on interest from an Individual at a high interest rate per month at the rate of 8%, and I statred it regarding Home based Business which a Indian person started the Business in Srilanka and I got my self enrolled and it did'nt take long after 02 weeks the man slipped away from the Country, so there are many obsticles which I'am facing but I dont give up I will defineatly come up by the "GRACE OF GOD". sometimes it takes courrage, to keep on beliving, there is a saying that by, "THE HOLY BIBLE", that IF ONE DOOR SHUTS AT YOU, THERE WILL BE TEN DOORS OPENING TO YOU. it's really true. In SriLanka we dont get the facility on paypal transactions or even any registration in ikobo accounts so i'am finding very hard on getting thing workout, if there is any means of a good company regarding home based business, work at home please do let me know and a easy way to money transfers on enrollement and pay cheque. I had to give away my credit cards after my disability. I wish you, and wish you all friends and members a bright future.

I started out by doing thaings that I knew I was good at, and could do with no set up costs and sold the results to friends and family, then I used the money from that to go a bit bigger, then a bit bigger again and so on
