Is it ok that I still have a passion for fairy tales though I am 23 years old already? Yes,I like to read fairy tales, though I can guss all the endings when I read the beginnings, tough somebody could thought that is infant and unreal. If you ask why,I will told you because all the fairy tales lead beautiful and happy endings. As times went on,more and more people's inner tower of ivory has break down, but mine isn't. I think if you believe in fairy tale, you will find you live in fairy tale.Never stop to believe in the nicety of life and life will rewards you.

Sound attitude towards life and good mind status! I seldom read the fairy, but the pieces in mind always make happy and positive!By the way,to make sure we are in a hummanbeings society or community rather than fairland. When you have something could not satified in the real life, you will find answers in the tales.Your stauts is really great!

I dn't see anything wrong about lovig kids stuff. I myself am a big Beauty and the Beast fan, I just love Belle's attitude... also, I can still sing Sebastian's "Under the Sea"... a proof how I also love Ariel's tale. And... how can I forget, how John Smith told Pocahontas, "I'd rather die today than leave a thousand years without knowing you"...and mind you, I can still memorize how he sang "If I never knew you". Okay, call me a freak, I'm on my mid 20's, and already have a son!! But I am never bothered of how I still love fairytales despite my age. I just don't see anything wrong with it :-)

I don't think there is something wrong with that... i am already in my 30's but i love to read children's books... and i have a small collection... i like reading stories about kids and how they handle certain situations with different levels of difficulties... I am actually looking for a series of books titles "A Modern Faeary Tale" by Holly Black... but i don't think it is already available in my country...

I dont think that there is anything wrong with you still reading fairty tales! I thoroughly enjoy it as well. In fact, I took a fairy tale class in college! It was entirely in German, but I took it because I wanted to read the fairy tales and learn more about them. There are so many fairy tales in existance and meny of them teach great lessons. These are things that you shouldnt stop learning when you are a child! I dont necessarily agree that if you believe in fairy tales that you will have a fairy tale life. But all of the fairy tales do teach you one thing: never give up hope!

Fairy tales are not true nor can they ever be true. But if you believe, they can be so! Oops Jessie, fairy tales were written for children. Ironically, the lessons were meant for adults. Reread Sleeping Beauty once in a while but at 23 you must also have read To Kill a Mockingbird. Grab a copy now if you haven't. When you finished, I'd recommend Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. It's the only novel that made me literally cry while reading. The point is there's an anthology of Great Books waiting to be read. Don't get stuck with fairy tales.

Well, I don’t believe in fairy tale endings but I have a huge passion for them. I recently bought a book which has 55 fairy tales in it. I love reading fairy tales and going off to the land of make-belief…and the pictures are so beautiful, too. Life is so harsh around us…it makes good sense to me to be lost once in a while in a beautiful world where the good always wins over the evil and people live happily ever after.

I find nothing wrong in this but you should better be sure to not mistake reality from fairy tales. There are situations that only happen in fairy tales. Because fairy tales are meant to provide entertainment and encouragement but they're not necessarily realistic. Any story can end happy just like in fairy tales. But, we have to understand that not all real-life-stories have a happy ending.

Fairy tales are a great escape, and more often then not teach a valuable lesson. People that think they are too old for fairy tales, I think are a little bit sadder then the rest of the world. Cheers.

I think it is wonderful that you can find joy in reading fairy tales. It just goes to show that the child in you is still alive, which is a beautiful feeling. Anything that makes you happy is worth doing. Some people like writing, some paint, some read, some make candles, you enjoy such books. They always leave you feeling good. In times when we have so many responsibilities and stress filled lives, anything that reminds us how beautiful life is ( even if it is fiction), is worth it. Have fun my friend! :)

Oh yes, by all means. I am 42 but I still find it exhalirating to watch fairy tales movies. It sort of brings relief to all the confusions everyday. It brings out the child in me.

Compared to all the other things people do to get them through life, a passion for fairy tales sounds very benign. As long as you don't start living in the fairy tales, thinking you are one of the characters. I am not sure though if it is good to believe that you should expect life to be like fairy tales. There has to be a better balance between cynicism and expecting a happily ever after life. Fairy tales are appealing because they paint a happy picture, but if you think life is always like that you will be disappointed and unprepared for its challenges.

Sure, it's okay! You're never too old to enjoy the things you did as a kid, from fairy tales, to cartoons, to games. I think, too often, people forget to play and have fun growing up.

Definitely not. Why do these things survive for more than a thousand years now (Aesop's tales) if people just forget about it when they grow up? Psychologists often use fairy tales to try to teach lesson to people both young and old. I enjoy them too
