Is it always too late to study? Should i start myself to work? My parents have been supporting me a lot. Although they still can support me, but I feel emberassed to study on. I wasted my four years of precious time playing around and by the time I regain conciouness, I feel it's a bit too late. Now I am in the middle of chosing whether to move on studying my hardest for a degree or just leave aside and start working in a diploma cert. I know I wouldn't gain much with the diploma level. But I am not too sure myself whether to move on or not. Any opinion? I am 23 now.

Mikeowl, it is never too late to continue with your education. If you are sure you are now ready to settle down and pay full attention, maybe you should consider trying for the degree. Many young people fritter away a few years after high school and well into the college years. It happens, not just to you, but to many.
I would say that if you are really serious about your education now, then you should proceed. In the end, the degree would be well worth it. That is just my opinion, of course.

Thanks mike, and no problem at all. I hope you do make a serious effort to continue your studies and get that degree. If you want it, you can have it. But, nothing worth having comes without some effort. I wish you luck, and let me know how you make out, okay?

How long do you still have to study? 23 istn't that old yet. I guess it depends on how your parents feel about supporting you further, how important that degree is to you and how much you think you will benefit from it in business.
If it is important to you and you now are focused and know what you want, you should continue if you can. It is easier now than in 10 years time when you regret not having done it.

i dont think 23 is too old to study. You have wasted four years but keeping on repenting on the lost time wont help. Now that you are ready to take a leap you should put in your best and finish your degree and then give your career a headstart. If one realizes ones mistake and accepts it and moves to remidify the same there is nothing better than that. You know accepting ones faliure to work or study is very difficult and you are doing that which in itself tells that you have great willpower which would be key to your fulfilling the degree.

hi mikeowl no it is not too late at all. go on and get
that degree,it sure cannot hurt anything and might really
help you. You have a diploma you can probably nail a much
better paying job. You are still young enough that studying
will not be hard for you so go get that piece of paper.

I know that degree could pay off much salary in the future, therefore my priority is always to study on and keep myself focus on my studies and never let go. But the fact is that time is too precious now. I wasted too much time and I couldn't afford to lose any more time.

Study is for everyone, no age limit or something. As long as your willing to study there's nothing wrong with that. Besides It's for you anyways. Take a short courses while you work. or do some business while you study. ^_~ It's fun

I go to university in England and in some of my classes there are people in their middle ages (40-50's) and they love studying and certainly are not embarassed to be a bit older than everyone else. They don't think it's too late for them. 23 is still very young. I would say go for it. Also, nobody has to know how old you are.

No, it's never too late. In fact, at your age of 23, you are at the prime of your youth when you need to study and get a degree. In fact even old people want to study to improve themselves. If you choose to work now, you will earn, why not but sooner or later you will feel the limitations in your choices and wish that you have concentrated on studying instead of working. In a rapidly changing society, standards with regard to educational qualifications are getting higher and higher. Soon we will find that Bachelor's degrees will not even be enough, one needs an MA and we see this happening now depending of the field one is applying for a job.
