I know that I'm a brand name kind of person! I don't know what inside always loves to buy brand names. No matter the price or the cheapness of quality, I just love the brand names! I can't stand buying generic brands that have ugly designs on the front. I know I sound really nasty and spoiled right now, but that's how I am. Even if the generic brand is superior to the brand name, I find myself sticking with the brand name! What about you guys? Do you fall into the 'brand name trap'? Or do you always look for the most bang for your buck? Maybe you guys can turn me around from wasting money on brand names!

I have never been a brand name sort of person. I go to get the most for my money especially if its clothes or shoes. When it comes to food that is a different thing. In alot of cases name brand foods taste whole lot better then no brand foods. I have two daughters and one grew up wanting brand name stuff where her older sister is the complete opposite and like me goes for what can say her money. I think its a waste to spend so much just because there is a brand name on the shirt, jeans or sweater.

I don't know what it is, but I just can't stand something that's not brand name! I have to have something that looks nice and appears places! Take the skin product Proactiv for example. It's definitely not the best skin product out there, but I have to have it because it's been on TV and has been endorsed by so many celebrities!

Remember don't always believe the hype. It is most of the time not true as to what the product can or can't do.

The hype is really not right sometimes. With Proactiv, I don't think that it works that well. There are many alternatives out there that work better. Maybe it's a psychological thing.

i used to love branded products because of the quality but nowadays you can get quality on unbranded products too and its cheaper too. Plus theres alot of imitations now that sometimes you cant distinguish which ones the original brand.

Yeah I know what you mean. Take Target for example. Target comes out with their own brand of cheaper products, and usually these products are really good! Sometimes they're better than the brand ones. Actually, I consider them brand names now! But yeah, brand names usually have better designs as labels and generic brands usually just try to sell the item.

With something, but not all. It depends on what I am getting, to be honest. And I honestly do not think that all brand names are better than brandless things anyway.

Yeah, I do agree with you somewhat. There are lots of brand names out there that can't be regular old generic brands. I guess some people just choose to buy them because they've heard the name before. I'm usually one of those people.

I am a brand name kind of person. I believe the quality of brand name clothings are better than the ones that are poorly branded. I rather buy one brand name clothing than having two or three generic brands of clothing.

Yay for people who love brand names! But yeah, on clothes, it's way better to have brand names. Well, for me that is. But talking about food, some people say that they don't care if it's brand named or generic. I usually even like my food to have brand names.

Sometimes. But I only buy branded products that are on sale. I love to purchase branded items. But as soon as I learn the price I always think if it's really a need. Then I calculate how many generic items can I buy in such price. Usually I ended up buying nothing. hehehe.
But most of the time I buy items regardless of its brand as long as I love the design or style, comfortable to wear, and it fits well to me.

Well that's good for you. At least you're saving money rather than wasting countless dollars on brand names. It's good that you're at least money-conscious.

I am a brand conscious person, For me too everything has to be branded. why am I so into brands? To be very honest, it becomes a reason for me to show off and be a center of attraction at times... The other factor is comfort. Brands are comfortable unlike those cheap clothes or shoes or be it anything, Branded stuff stick for a long time unlike others.
If your really want to switch over, I would suggest you to buy some brand labels and stick it to everything... hehehe... lol....

I'm such a brand person too! Sometimes, I like people noticing that I'm wearing a brand named item. Even though I don't like getting lots of attention, I still like it when people notice what I bought. And plus, usually brand names are nicer. And the comfort too. Brand names provide you with a comfort that the product is good.

i never go for brand names... i always go for the general brands (whichever is cheaper)... especially in this difficult economic times... the more i can save money, the better for me... and for me, not all brand names are as good as the generic brands... so i always go for generic brands... take care and have a nice day...

I am looking into the brand because it matter's the one who wear on it. If I saw him using a certain brand I can conclude what the financial status of a person. All of my clothes are branded after I got my first job. Before when I was living with my parents I am not looking into what brand because I dependent on what my parents give to me.

i used to be when i was still a teen and young and had no family. hahah i used to spend money on expensive branded clothes...but not now, i realized how much money i wasted, i have a family now and everything has to be on the budget. I also realized that there are brandless clothes or items that are also good. it is a matter of just choosing right, what is comfortable or not.

Well, different people have different thinkings and perspective. You are someone who goes for the luxury and brand name, as you've said while some people are just practical, doesn't matter if it's a good brand or not. As long as it's usable, it's totally ok to them, haha. For me, I'll only go for the brand name for some things, like sports shoes, badminton rackets and next time, CARS!!! Yea. Other than that, I'm basically ok with it.

While shopping I've rarely looked at the brand. I notice a brand once I've brought it home, worn it a couple of times and like it. There has got to be proof that it works for me and will stand the test of time. Then and only then do I pay attention to the brand. Expensive or cheep cannot be measured until it meets all my needs.

I use to only rely on brand names. Now I have found the same quality in cheaper brands. I still tend to stay wit hname brands on certain products. I also lik organic products.

On organic food, I don't really mind if it's brand name or generic. Organic is organic. Well, for me that is.

I guess I am on the opposite end of things. If I can save a bit with a generic purchase I do it. However, if the quality of the generic is too lacking, then I may not buy that item twice. Usually though, generic is fine. Obviously, I impress no one with my purchases!

Well there are times where I do buy brand name. Not because of any real loyalty to the brand name. Just because of the fact that I know they put out quality products, that are long lasting. However, if they suddenly was of less quality, I would vote with my wallet and stop buying them. Also, if the prices get a bit out of hand, then I might not purchase them. There is a certain price limit that I am willing to put on myself.
I look for the most out of my money a lot of the time in the end. However, if there is a brand name product that I know and one that I am not sure about and pretty close in price, I will most certainly go for the name brand that I know and trust. However, if I can save some money, then I am less likely to go for the brand name. There are just so many variables but the wallet might win out a lot of the time, especially if the brand name really loses favor.

yeah,I always find the "brand name" products, it means the better quality.you know the "brand name" always expensive, so I will chose some generic brands that it cost a little.
