I was travelling going to my work yesterday. I gave the driver 50.00 My change supposed to be 43.00 What happen is that the driver told me to wait for a moment. So I want when I fall asleep. And I happen to realize my change wasn't with me yet. So I asked for it.
Unfortunately, the driver said he already gave my change. He handed over to the lady.
Now my change gone to nothing.

I don't remember that happened to me, when I still didn't get my change, I've waited and never sleep until the driver gave it to me. You should also remind the driver about your change.
One incident that I left my change was at the canteen near our office, we ate there and I pay P 500.00, my lunch fee is only P 48.00. I left without my change, the seller also forgot to give it to me. I only remember when I was about to leave the street. I went back but they say that the seller is already gone. I just told them to give it to my officemate tomorrow. Thank God I got it! It's a big money though!

I run out of small bills that time, they have a store beside them and they change the 500 bill into smaller one, unluckily I forgot to get my change and left.

I never pay big amount of money especially on canteen. Because they are small business they can't afford to look for a change in a short notice. I usually pay 500or 1000 if we ate in fast food chain. Their they can afford to change your money in no time.

unfortunately things like this happen to us and they are hard lessons learned. We always learn from things like this,or we should.
I hate that this happened but try not to repeat the same cycle again.

It is sad a lesson so costly but know you know to have change and smaller bills. I always try to keep at least 3 or 4 ones, a $5 bill, and a $10 bill on me when I can just for such times when I'll need them.

Ouch, that hurts. The cab driver didn't give you your change? I think he pulled a fast one, and cheated you out of your money. Unfortunately, some people are not very honest. I hope that you will somehow be able to get your money returned to you.

Hi syoti20, oh gosh, it's so awful that you had to pay such a big amount of 43.00 instead of 7.00! How could the driver gave the change to the wrong person. It's worse still the lady dared to receive the change which was not her belonging. This showed that the lady culprit had made advantage while you were sleeping and got disappeared before you woke up. What caused you so sleepy that moment. seemed that the nap was really costly
Happy posting

Oh, THAT lady. You are undoubtedly right. Here sometimes when we are in line for something and a man give the clerk cash she will hand the change back to his wife instead of him. When I was in Mexico I went into the bank and gave the teller money to exchange and he gave it to my husband! I don't even know how he knew it was my husband as that teller never asked him for ID. That would never happen in the USA.
Of course my late husband gave the money back to me, but it was still disconcerting.

haha =D GOOD! That's an expensive bus ride huh? BUt it's ok, since u are earning much from here, with all your started post and what's 43.00 to u right?? lol =D Treat it as a form of tip for the lady, since u are too tired to wait. After all, it's your responsibility to look after your own money, but u choose to take care ofyour eye lids instead.. haha

That's a bummer I hope the driver is telling the truth. Either he gave the change and the lady took it or the driver just made up that story & assumed you would believe it because you were asleep.

This is basically one of the reasons why i bring coins with me and pay only my exact fare because seen this happened to other passengers already. I didn't really saw who got the lady's change but the lady complained that she never got the change when the driver already gave it. Lesson learned so this time we should be very careful and try to pay the exact fare so you won't be experiencing this again. 43.00 is already big, that could have been your fare for 2 or even 3 days.

Oh my..that is terrible! This reminds me of a story of my friend. He went to the local atm to cash out. Then he was rushing which he grab his card and went off without taking the cash. He got to the car and noticed that. He immediately went and found out that the money was lost. Some passerby said a guy took it. Well, in life, there are just so many such people. Very dissapointing rught?

43.oo is too much to just let go. talk to the people im charge of
this bus a nd make them understandyou did not get your change bvack and you want to talk to the head person until you get your money back. that is highway robbery.
