dog eater?

Oh my goodness I cannot imagine ever eating dog meat. I suppose if people do that is okay for them, but I hope no one ever tricks me with the meats as I am a very picky eater. I do not eat goat, or lamb and can not imagine eating dog meat.

I've never eaten any dog! Here in my country, people just consume chicken, pork, beef, and some seafood. There's no 'dogs' in our daily meals. I think that eating dogs it's not okay, because all animals have a purpose, and dogs purpose is to give company to the people. Being the best friend of men is what dogs were made to. Not for eating.

Living in the United States, there aren't places to find dog meat to eat. I think it may be considered animal cruelty to kill a dog here, even to eat it, since they are usually kept as pets and guard animals. If I were in another country and I knew that they kept their meats clean and unspoiled, I'd probably try dog meat. Though I would wonder if the different species of dogs (Collie, Pit Bull) would taste different.

I tried also once, It was my father's b-day when I came back home and seen many friends of my father busy cooking in other side of the kitchen. i ask them what they were cooking they just laugh and told me to wait until it cook because i will taste it later. My father gave 1 piece and then I eat but suddenly when I swallow it I felt like i was going to vomit the food that I eaten and then after that it really came out to my mouth. That's the time they told me that it is a dog meat. Until now I can't differentiate the taste of a dog meat to the common meats we use to cook regularly but I wont be worry because i will surely vomit any food that against my stomach.

yes, i have some friends who eats dog meats and it is kinda weird and disgusting.... hmmm they say it taste like chicken but, to me, i think it tastes like SIN... some dog-eaters are just drunkards or maybe those people who just seems nothing to eat for their stomach... or? maybe crazy people does that?... i am a dog lover not a dog eater which means i am against dog harassments and stuffs like that T^T.... i just want my friends to stop doing those filthy things..

I never thought there are other countries eating meat of dogs until i read the responses. Well it's sad to know that there are really people eating their meat. When they shouldn't be killing them because they still serve some use to us, humans. I don't eat dog's meat and really hated watching the news of these people killing the dogs in a brutal way. I really hope this will be really totally gone from our country and that people will not be killing dogs anymore. Sometimes we just don't know when those dogs come from and they might have rabies and when we eat it, we might be getting a lot of bacterias and viruses from it so better yet not eat it to be safe.

we have dog eater in my home country as well in some areas... especially in rural areas... i live in the capital city... so i don't see this often... but those who are living in the provinces and rural areas do eat dog meat... i just can't imagine myself eating it as i think i will vomit... pork, beef, chicken, fish and seafood only for me... :-) take care and have a nice day...

I've never eaten dog before but I think I ate dog food once. My friends would play tricks on each other and I think I tasted dog food once, it wasn't bad but I sure knew it didn't taste like anything I'd ever eaten before. I know that your country likes to eat dog but you don't have to.

I hate dog meat trade and I hate people eating dogs. I love dogs and I have at home, so I can't imagine someone's killing them to eat. I haven't taste it and will never. They said that once you eaten, the dog can tell and they will bark on you or hate you forever.

No..I would never eat dogs. I despise those who torture and eat them, recently there have been many dogs that are saved from being brutally killed and eaten. I think people should stop eating dogs, there are many there things to eat, dogs are man's best friend too.

Wow, filippinos like to eat dog meat ! It is horrible to hear about it. Some Chinese do eat dog meat too. They eat the dog meat together with the herbal which can stronger their body. As what I have seen in the television program, the filippinos do eat the cat too. They make canned food of cat meat. I mention about cat meat just for our knowledge. Some other mylot members will complain because you are just mentioning about the dog meat. ha! ha! ha!

Calling the attention of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. LOL. Never tasted a dog meat in my life and would never do. Just the mere thought of it makes my stomach turns.

Dog is not made to eat .You know dog and pig transmitts much more diseases .Better to avoid it .

In my country, it's not a big deal if you eat dog meat. But I will never do so, it's cruel enough that you kill other animals to supply for your meals. I'm sure that in the old times our ancestors have tried every kind of meat and finally decided that some certain kind of meat taste better than others, so they stop trying and start to raise and eat the better kinds. You may think that it's not a big deal, you should try new stuff but please, don't indulge yourself too much. Your stomach is already the biggest graveyard to animals, you want it to be even bigger?

I do not and will not eat or consider the idea of eating dog meat. There are plenty of meats available from "prey" animals. I don't think there is a reason to start eating man's best friend. No, No pets are on my menu.. I also will not eat Veal, lamb well any sheep or goat.. I stick with beef, chicken Turkey, pork (although I feel really bad about pork...Pigs are very intelligent) and the occasional TUNA fish. That is enough protein variety for me.

That's completely nasty. Who the hell would want to eat dog meat. Your the first person I ever heard talking about eating dog. I would never ever want to eat any kind of meat that is related to some kind of dog. That's purely nasty. Don't even want to think of it any longer.

When I was young, we used to eat meat of dogs without knowing that it was a dog. My father used to have drinking sessions with his friends and they cook dog's meat. It taste like a meat of a pig also. Eventually I found out that it is a dog's meat and I ask my mom if it is dangerous, she said yes and she gets mad at my father for having us the meat of a dog.

I am not a dog eater but I once tasted dog. In my nation, China, eating dog is not banned. But in my hometown, few people sell dog meat , and few people eat. I remember the dog meat is tasty. I will not eat dog meat on my own initiative. I won't say it is right or wrong for eating dog meat. In my country, especially the Southern Chinese, they eat many kinds of animal meat. We Northern Chines don't.

I don"t think it is acceptable to eat dog meat. I been reading and watching articles regarding a certain virus that is stored on an infected dog which even when cooked is not destroyed . Heat cannot kill this microbes and we ingest it live when we eat the flesh of the dog. I have never eaten dog"s meat since our father forbade it.

we also have dog eaters here in our place. i even know one, in fact when i was just a kid, i saw a meal and when i tried to ask what that is, they just laughed and try to convince me to it it, but i refused to, they made fun of me in the first place
