I really don't like going to beaches either it is for an outing or just for a relaxing moment. I would prefer going out on malls and have fun in other way rather than go to the beach. I think its because i really don't like stepping on beach sand or maybe having my feet dirty with sand. Some people i have been with told me that its quite unusual but i think i'm just not used to going to beaches and i dont like having my feet dirty. I would rather prefer swimming in pools rather than sandy beach.
What can you say on this?
Are you also a beach person or not?
Does it seem unusual for someone to be like me?
Thanks guys.

We are same but we don't have same reason. I'm not also beach person but I love to go swimming resort/pool. Because if I'm on the beach for outing with friends and family I really suffer headache because of my eyes (astigmatism)even I wore sunglasses still I feel it and the more I felt tired even I don't swim. Every time we were in the beach I never go swim but if I want to I go swim after fixing stuff (ready to go home) thats the time I go swim cause it will not take long to be wet cause we are fixing goin home aleady but why in the swimming pool I'm not feeling as what I've felt when I'm in beach? I don't know if this is also unusual.

i don't see anything unusual for not liking the beach... i don't like to go to beach as well and prefer to go to mountains... i don't like the hot sun and also getting my feet dirty walking on the sand... on top of that, i don't like water... i'm afraid of water... so i can't even swim if i go to the beach... take care and have a nice day...

You are just normal, sand between the toes is not romantic except in Hollywood movies. Rolling in the surf, just gets this same sand down your suit, ugg. Swiming in the ocean might mean you are right next to a great white shark, no thanks.
For me I love the smell of the ocean, fresh not fish and the sound of the ocean, on the coast in our state, Oregon, we have beautiful shore lines. It's a great place to visit once in a while.

On your profile it says you are 24 so you're not that old. I'm 44 but I don't like beaches either..well, they're ok I suppose but it depends on where they are and how clear the sea is..or if it's crowded. I used to love crowds but I hate them now.
So no, I don't think it's unusual that you don't like the beach.

I am also like you I am not a beach person I don't like the super hot sand because it just burns my feet and it really does hurt and takes forever to get to a bathroom, but there I am walking through all the hot sand. I also don't like the water to cold and it's to dirty and who knows what else might be in the water and I like to stay dry because it feels really uncomfortable to be wet not the ebst feeling in the world especially being wet and outside makes it worst.
Yes I would prefer going to malls too because I can stay dry and I can go shopping my favorite thing to do. My family does call me weird just because I don't like the beach, but that's ok they can think whatever they want because they won't be able to change my mind. Pools are a bit better because their not so dirty and theres no sand around so that's always a good thing.

Hello friend, i'm not a beach lover too, but i have my reasons. In whole my life i've lived in cities which are situated near the beach and it's easy for me to go there whenever i want to. I think that lowed my passion for the beach and made stronger my passion for the other natural places like mountains or just more grassy places.
In the summer our beaches are too filled with people, people from different cities and even from different countries come here and if i have to be honest on the most visited beaches there is no place to put your towel. Once i went to the beach last summer and it was somewhere, where there were no people and was so great rest for me, to lie on my towel and to listen the sound of the sea, the birds while the sun is shining on me.
I'm not a mall person too. I don't like to go on places, where are too many people and the music is so lowed that i just can't hear what my friends are talking about. Sometimes in the winter i'm exited to stay there for an hour or little more, because there is no other places where it's warm and you can stay, but i prefer going out on fresh air.

I love the beach and if I lived close to one I be there every minute I could.
If you rather go to the mall that's your choice....to each it's own

Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I like both the beach and the mall. I enjoy going to the mall in the summer, when it is especially sweltering outside, and I need to cool off. I like to go shopping at the mall too whenever I can, but the closest mall is 60 minutes away. I enjoy going to the beach, a clean one, and laying on a chair in the sand. I like the feel of my feet on the sand...it's a comforting or massaging experience. I do not think it is unusual to not like the beach.

When I was growing up I used to go to the beach at nights to just listen to the ocean. I love the smell of the ocean and the looking at the waves coming in. Ok I can understand the part of not getting dirty with the sand. That is the one thing I don't like is getting sand all over me. It really bugs me especially if I can't wash it off right away. My husband never really grew up liking the beach but he doesn't like the malls either. Right now we live kind of far away from the beaches so we go to the mountains. I took my kids in November on a harbor cruise which they really liked but we don't get to see the beach that often.

No, you're unusual not at all that's because every people has his/her own likes and dislikes!!! Some like to go for trekking on a Mountain while some others like the Beaches for relaxation!!! Some like to shop in Shopping Malls while some likes the Local Stores... It varies from person to person... So there's nothing unusual about it!!! Actually, like you I also don't like the sea beach at all!!! Rather I prefer going to the mountains for a relaxing moment!!! Hope it helped ya!!!
