so whip me with a wet noodle...
I asked the kids this morning to get me their laundry. I asked a second time and Naomi's appeared. I asked a third time and Cary's appeared (though I had to make him go back upstairs and get all the stuff that missed the laundry basket). When Cary's went into the dryer I told Dearra I needed her laundry NOW.
No laundry.
Came upstairs and looked at Facebook, and she had left herself signed in. So I posted:
Dearra needs to bring her laundry downstairs and mom isn't asking again.
HACKED!!!!!!
Maybe she'll get the message, and maybe she'll be doing her own laundry this weekend. We shall see.
Bad mom hacker...

LOL....The best form of communication FaceBook !!Incidentally my younger daughter too is called Naomi and she keeps her laptop and messenger signed in all the time.Once I used her laptop for my work and one of her friends began chatting and so did I until Naomi came and took over and I posted to her friend saying who I was , they were both in splits , since we had had some amusing conversation....She took it sportingly ...

My son did that when his sister tried to chat with me....he sat down and wrote some things that really got to her...like he said....well Josh is my favorite etc...you get the picture? He was very naughty! I'll have to do it back to him sometime.

I've done things like that to my kids. They get pist but they do get the message. Once I grounded my daughter from the computer and changed the password to get on it to "mom sucks". She spent so much time trying to get on it to no avail. Then when my other daughter wanted to get on, I wouldn't give her the PW as I knew that her sister would bug her for it and so I told her I'd sign on for her. Come to find out the daughter that was grounded had planted a camera to capture me signing on! I told her if it worked then she could have the internet back. It didn't. I type fast and without looking and she couldn't follow my key strokes. Clever try though! I was referred to not as a bad mom hacker...just a bad mom.

that is great. My kids are not old enough to be in Facebook but they are old enough to bring me their laundry but I still have to beg and bribe them and guess what? I still have to get the laundry because they won't. I hope one day they will help me out when they have no clothes to wear.

At some point they will complain. If they're little, they probably don't care about wearing the same stuff, or even dirty things.

Well when they are old enough to complain then they will be old enough to do their own laundry I hate doing my own laundry as it is but I do it for a household of five. I am sure you already know this requires quite a bit of loads!

You are not easy for you to take care of three children all alone.

Actually, I think this was a great learning opprotunity. She needs to remember to secure her computer when she leaves. It could end up being really ugly otherwise. I think she should be happy it was you and not one of the younger children. Best Wishes!

That is good. I think you need to be a hacker sometimes as a parent. You want to make sure your children are safe. At least, until they are out of school and 18.

Just annoyed, and then freaked when she thought she was going to have to do her own laundry.

That is hilarious! I know when I can't get my grown daughter, I text. Funny how we can use our new technology to get to those close to us when normal ways aren't working!

If it isn't downstairs by the time the last load is done, she IS doing it herself...
And if she gets mad at me, tough!

Making her do her own laundry sounds like a good idea. My daughter made her girls do their own laundry by the time they were teenagers. We'll see whether she will treat her son in the same manner, as he'll become a teenager next week.

Hacker moms? Hmmm. My daughter runs around after my grandson and picks up after him. I try to just fight the bigger fights but when ALL OF THEM need addressed it is alittle difficult to pick and choose. Ugh! Do you see why I am on medication now. And there are nail scratching marks all over? Hehehe

Haha! I just did the same thing!
Sort of!
My son keep sending me invited on Facebook games. So the other day when he left the computer open and his account signed in, I wrote 'I will not send game invites to my friend-DAD anymore!'
HACKED!!!

She is old enough to listen and she is old enough to end up doing it herself. It will not be mom's fault when her favorite "whatever" is not available to wear to school this week.

Hum I think she now will get the message.
Well at least when she finally reads it. I am sure she won't be happy but she will know that Mommy hacker means business!

That is to funny, shame on her for leaving her Facebook page open and signed in, serves her right. Next time she'll learn that we only have to ask once and things should get done. She actually has it made, mom is doing the laundry what more can she ask for. Kids take things for granted until one day they don't have them anymore.

This post you wrote, is not very clear to me: who would be the "mother hackers in question"?
