No, I don't iron my underwear. Why would anyone bother?? Nobody's gonna see it and if anyone did, it'd be totally wrinkled by the time they did, so I don't see the point. I don't iron my towels either. I don't understand that one, either! What's the point?? Anyway, I too remove my clothes as soon as the dryer's done and hang them up so I don't have to bother with ironing.

I had a heated discussion with my friend over this issue. She said it is necessary for everything to be neat and tidy. My response was, who really cares if the undies are wrinkled or the towels. You wear the undies under your clothes, who is going to see? Who cares?

Is my mother your friend? LOL. My mother irons everything and she used to make my iron when I lived at home. I hate ironing. I iron nothing. I have an iron but I'm not even sure it still works. I only buy clothes that don't require ironing and like you I take them straight from the dryer and hang them up.

I just dug my iron out from the depths of the closet in my craft room. I am making some clothes for my grandkids and need to press the seams. This will be the first time I have used this iron in over 2 years. I hope it still works. LOL!!!!

Wouldn't it be considered obsessive for someone to do this?

I laughed when my friend told me that she irons her undies and her husbands.

I'm with you! Get to the dryer right away and no ironing is needed.
At least, not much is needed. You do get the occasional shirt you just shake you head at because the dryer just stopped but the collar is all wrinkled.

My husband has done the laundry and left it in the dryer for over an hour. He takes them out and puts them away with wrinkles. I rewash them and redry them!

Really, bad luck? I have never heard that. Do you know why it is bad luck?

Iron underwear? Who would iron underwear? I am sorry but no I do not iron my undies, towels,or bed linens If I iron something it is most likely a dress shirt. I try to buy clothes that don't really need ironing. Ironing is to much a hassle. So like you I take them from then dryer when it kicks off and hang or fold. less wrinkles that way.

What is the purpose? Who sees their underwear? If they did, would they be wrinkled?

Are you kidding? Your friend has way too much time on her hands! I'll bet that she doesn't work. I iron as little as I can get away with- usually my lab coats for work and a few blouses. Everything else I fold or hang right out of the dryer, and it's fine.

No my underwear never gets ironed, neither do handkerchiefs or socks. My wife has a friend who irons everything (not sure about newspapers or pound notes but that wouldn't surprise me either).
She has some animal ornaments which are on shelfs or on a windowledge which she turns them so that they are facing the sun all day long.

Hi can't say that I iron my underwear or towels... To be honest I don't iron anything... he he...I probably should but I guess I am to lazy.. I mean i work with 3 and 4 year olds all day so... they really don't care if I have a wrinkle or two... and my towels well I don't care if they have a wrinkle or two and my undies well i certainly don't care....My grandmother always use to iron everything and I mean everything but I do not remember her ironing her undies...

I remember my grandmother having a soda bottle with a sprinkler at the top that she used to moisten the clothes before she ironed them. I don't remember if she did undies or not.

I remember using a soda pop sprinkler as a teenager! I got music lessons in exchange for ironing! But I know I never ironed underwear! Now...who knows...maybe boxers?

No I don't, that seems a little ridiculous and unnecessary!

No, I have never ironed any underwear...I dont see the need to...I too take them out of the dryer promptly, but even if I didn't I still wouldn't iron them...this is sort of funny to me LOL. Linens maybe...but I dont have time....and for towels, unless maybe they were just for looks, but they dont really last that long around here before they need washed again.....I do iron shirts, pants, etc. clothes that need it...and sometimes curtains or drapes.

On the off moment that I pull out my iron I wonder if it still works because I use it maybe once a year if that.

I hang my drapes right out of the washer. The dry naturally and usually wrinkle free.

ok let's see..I don't iron my underwear because it is either too delicate (lace or embroidered) or it doesn't need any ironing...I don't iron beddings on a regular base..I mean I have some coloured and particular sheets representing famous paintings and these need no ironing and are wonderful shaped and easily ready for my bed..but if I choose some particular set of sheets (I mean linen or embroidered sheets) of course I am having them perfectly ironed and hand washed...the same comes with towels..if they need care and attention, I give them the both..otherwise I use easy washing ones..It depends on the occasion and on the mood!!!

I rarely use the iron. When I do it is usually when I am doing a sewing project and need to flatten the seams.
