Positive traits in you.

You said it all even without directly saying it. How is it possible that you just cannot think about positive trait in you? When we could see so many positive traits in you, hopefully you could also see some positive traits in you. Being generous to others is one of the biggest positive traits because many are misers in this cruel world, not in terms of money but even in expressing themselves. Keeping secret could also be counted as a positive trait because women are not known for keeping secrets (I am talking in Indian context).

That's a great quality, many people lack

@dpk262006 Thanks for the kind words but sometimes my mind goes over and over the stupid or unkind things that I've said and done in the past to the exclusion of anything good. But mostly I manage to think about other things. Regarding secrets I know women are supposed to be gossips but I have always believed that keeping a confidence is very important.

@LadyDuck To keep secrets of others is one of the special traits. This way others could trust you and confide in you.

@JudyEv Yes, I fully agree with you that if someone has shared a secret with you, we should not betray his trust.

It can be hard to come up with positive things when you're put on the spot. And I think it is important not to betray someone's trust.

It is a very good positive trait that you look at the positive side and you remain optimistic in whatever you attempt.

To remain honest, trustworthy, reliable are the top most positive traits. If you are organized that is like cherry on the cake. Your near and dear ones would be lucky to have you with them.

To encourage and motivate others is one of the biggest positive trait. It hardly matter how much your encouragement influence others, it is for them to decide.

Thanks for acknowledging that I am a caring person. I will agree with you that you are modest and you do not brag about anything. If one is modest like you, it is one of the most wonderful traits, in my view. Yes, I know and I am sure that you are a very good listener and you listen with intent and let others allow to vent out (as one of the mylotters [ Gita ] has mentioned that there could be a flip side also to a positive trait and that sounds correct.

@much2say I don't feel there is nothing immodest if you say that you are modest. And moreover here you know whom you are saying to about your modesty i.e. me. Yes, our positive traits could be counted as our weakness also. However, I am of the opinion that inspite of 'weakness' aspect, we are not going to leave our positive traits.

If you consider yourself vocal, do you intend to say that you don't mind or shy away from voicing your opinion? If it is so, it is a good trait. It is one of the best traits that you are a strong woman and if you do not get nervous, when you come across any problem. Hats of to you for your fighting spirit.

@dpk262006 I am a vocal person. But I always discern when and to whom I can be vocal with. It is just that, I know how to put on a happy face despite me crying inside most of the times. That's why I can say, I am a strong woman too.

It is one of the best traits to be able to help others and to be a good listener. Now a days there is dearth of such person, who come forward to help others. Everyone is too busy now a days and no one has time to listen to other person, everyone wants to speak only.

@LovingMyBabies I understand your point that mylot is one of the best places for you to share anything about you because otherwise you don't find a patient listener to listen to you in real life. I have observed that you share most of your important happenings through your discussions on mylot. You get a large number of responses too. It is good to hear that you and your husband love to help others, in whatever way it is possible. Helping others in their hour of need is one of the best positive traits.

@dpk262006 One of the reasons I love Mylot so much is because it's the one place I am actually heard. Since I'm always the listener offline I don't have anyone to listen to me...except on Mylot. =) My husband and I love helping others and we do that often. We know how it feels to need help, everyone needs it sometimes.

Yes, by this age you would have come to know about your positive traits and traits which keep you going. It sounds wonderful to know that you are not only loyal, but you are honest also and you love humor. I feel as far as caring one's kids is concerned, every mother is very particular about her kids and this trait would be found in most of the mothers. Nonetheless, it is an appreciable traits and your kids would be proud of you.

It means you believe in supporting a genuine person, it is one of the best traits. Many shy away to back up a genuine person.

@allknowing I also try to support the genuine person, although sometimes I regret it if things turn out otherwise than expected.

I think by mentioning honor bound, you mean to say that you always keep your promise. Is not it? I feel that there is nothing wrong in keeping one's promise, rather it makes one more reliable and trustworthy. I don't think that you should treat this positive trait of yours as your weakness.
