My New Motto

I came up with a new motto to motivate me to walk longer and faster.
Here it is: Walk Like You Mean It Lady!
So far it is working pretty well. I have done 30 minutes in the early morning and 16 minutes just before lunch.
And now I am on my way to put my new motto in practice. I still have to walk for another 14 minutes and then I will be pretty proud of myself.
Did you walk today?

@TiaraOceanView, No, you are not a loser, it's not because I am in the mood to walk that you have to feel the same. We all have our moments.

I haven't been able to walk a lot for a while, but I hope my husband and I can start back when his legs get better. Keep up the good work!

I love walking, and I walk every day! Not only is it good exercise, but it also helps you relax and unwind. I will do a lot of walking in the morning before work (when it's nice and cool out), and then do more walking in the evening around sunset. I used to be an avid runner, but all that running in my younger days is starting to take its toll on my knees now, so I don't do as much running as I used to. Walking is so much easier on my knees (as is swimming)

@marlina What killed my knees were the many years of competitive basketball that I played in high school and college. It's such a shame, because running was one of my favorite pastimes! It was so therapeutic for me! But now I enjoy walking, and I can take the time to see and enjoy everything around me more!

@moffittjc I loved the "high" I got when I was jogging. Missing that a lot.

I don't because I need knee surgery. When I get it I will be walking again. I do an hour of water aerobics daily and love being able to move pain free.

I did walk yesterday around some stores, and the other night my husband and I took a nice 30 minute walk together with the babies in the stroller. =)

@LovingMyBabies , A walk with your husband with the babies in the stroller, that reminds me of so many wonderful walks of years ago.

nope hehehe. It was a lazy Monday for me. I was cooped up in bedroom with my toddler for half day. We drove to buy some stuff in the grocery around 5:30 p.m. There I was able to walk lol!

A 45 minute walk after lunch. The morning walk was a wash out. Pouring rain. Today I need to try for an early walk...the forecast makes planning my walks a bit of a challenge.

I did not. It was too cold but I will make sure I walk extra tomorrow to make up for it. Good for you. You are doing great.
