Be Yourself...

We are told by popular psychology that everyone has a unique personality. That we have our own individuality.
"Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass", says the poem "Desiderata".
Are you true to yourself or are you walking under the shadow of other people?
Are you feigning affection?
Are you cynical about love?

I was always very forward about being true to myself.
Only in dire unsafe circumstances did I have to feign affection. And when the show was over, they sure knew that I was myself in the end.

That's right my friend!! Be Yourself!! But yourself have to be good to be, if not so have to change. Anyway, yourself is best...

I tihnk I am myself, however other people can influence my personality. Like we get some traits from our parents and our close friends. But we are all individual, no one is the same, even if one tries to hide their true self, there is still a unique person in all of us.

The old adage of "be yourself. No one else can do you as well" is true. I'm unique and can be weird. I don't care. I'm not cynical about love but weary of it in a relationship type of sense. I love reading how others have had glorious years together and smile at the little nit piks of clothes on top of the hamper. I don't feign affection. It's real or not there.

I'd say I have a unique personality and although some people may view me as weird, I'd rather be myself than act like someone I'm not.

I'm very true to myself, I always say what I feel and don't act as anybody else or to please everybody, of course I'm not a hypocrite I do things even without the eye of other people.
