Are we just going to take the bad weather?

I think someone once said that everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it. Are we just going to take the bad weather or are we going to do something about it?
Some people might think there is nothing that can be done. So we might as well let it do whatever it wants.
Actually, there might be a lot more that can be done than we think.
What do you think? Any bright ideas that you have seen?
Proverbs 27:12 Complete Jewish Bible 12 The clever see trouble coming and hide; the thoughtless go on and pay the penalty.
One man in Rosharon, Texas used a product he found online to protect his family's home and property during the recent floods.

Yes, but the changing weather patterns and severity of the weather these days makes it hard to predict and prepare for situations that never existed in certain areas.
This is what they are now doing in preparation in Louisiana near New Orleans. Very interesting!
The IHNC Lake Borgne Surge Barrier also called the Great Wall of Louisiana is a storm surge barrier constructed near the confluence of and across the Gulf In...

I just thought it was interesting and wanted to share it.
If we really want to lessen the the bad weather we need to take better care of the earth. We can do it!

I see you understood my point. I know we could, the question is will we? Sadly, I don't think we will do what it takes either but then there is a price to pay, isn't there?

@1hopefulman Exactly, we are making cars that are every year bigger, honestly who really need a big SUV? We could walk a little more and teach our kids to go to school walking, this would also solve in part the obesity problem. People are only ready to talk, but not to act.

Maybe, but maybe the government should do something. Look at all the money, time, tears and lives that Harvey has caused. Is it strange that so may disasters seem to be the biggest we ever had in an area?

I think there isn't really nothing we can do about it. Although it is frustrating to know that when it shouldn't be raining anymore like on Spring it's still rains and when it's time to rain like in Fall, it rains already. It should be like if the rain takes a long time to stop raining as in it's taking months to stop, it should take a long time to come back and let the bright sky still shine lol. Yea I do hate the rain lol...I prefer hot and sunny lol.

@1hopefulman Oh wow, I never knew that, if that was real, then I would take the rain anytime to avoid more disasters lol. The only reason I hate rain it's because I get the blues lol but I'd rather be that and try to overcome it in any way I can lol. I know right, I never knew that lol

Some say that global warming is making the weather worse. The ice is melting and the oceans are rising. Some say that even the cities like Houston and New Orleans are not properly planned and it has caused the disaster to be worse then it should have been.
We built houses right close to the ocean. Some might think that is not so wise especially if the water is rising.
Maybe we should make the oceans deeper and the shore higher?

Oh, that was so courageous of him to try that inflatable dam. At least even if he paid much for the dam but still it was was so much lower than costing him $150,000 in repairs had he not bought that.
What a very nice idea to save your house from the flood.

And if he is able to keep using it, then it was a bargain. Look at all the damage done by Harvey.

That's a great idea to use massive inflatable dam. It's costly but it did save him from more expenses from the possible damage. We should be wise and prepared when we hear of coming storms

I really believe that if we work with nature and not against it, the storms might not be as bad. Have you noticed that the weather is getting worse and worse?

@averygirl72 I have a feeling that in some parts of the earth the weather will keep getting worse as we are not looking after the earth as God would want us to.

We try to stay prepared with enough supplies and that is about all we can do @1hopefulman It is funny how some humans think they can change the weather.

I think I know what you are saying. However, I am convinced that we are making the weather worse by our lifestyle and we are making the impact of bad weather also worse by poor planning.

Nope I have no idea how to control weather unless someone can come up with a huge weather control machine.

@DianneN No one will have to pay for it. We could ask everyone that goes to the beach to take a couple of pails of earth and rocks on the way back and bring it back a few hundred feet from shore and make a big pile.

So there seems that there are things that we can do. The more we do the better off we will be.

@db20747 I don't think there is anything that man can't do. However, it seems that whatever we do, we do for selfish reasons and can be misused.
The airplane for example: Great for transporting people and goods but terrible when use to transport bombs.

That's the idea? There are things we can do. What about a big plastic dome over the city, like a convertible car, for when the bad weather comes?

@YrNemo We really need to learn how to work with nature but I don't think that is going to happen in this world.

Yes, we need to think and plan ahead and know what to do and where to go if there is time.
