Could we tame the nature?

We just cannot win nature. Nature is superior to us. Unpredictable weather keeps happening in every corner of the world. There are places where there used to be heavy snowfall and rain, the same does not happen now a days. In some parts of the world rains suddenly start falling, catching people off guard. In many places winter is not as harsh, as it used to be and summer months are becoming unbearable. In many parts flash floods keep coming causing huge damage to population and property. Mankind has progressed a lot but I think we just cannot overpower nature. What do you think about it? Could we tame the nature even after making so much scientific progress? Image courtesy - Google

I think we should respect and be aware of How small we are when compared with nature.

You have very rightly pointed out that we are very small in front of nature and we just cannot win it at any cost.

There is nothing to feel sorry. Even if we have progressed a lot and still making new discoveries every other day, we just cannot tame the nature.

@m_audrey6788 Yes, planting new trees is a good idea and many agencies actually implement this idea, when they are required to cut the old trees for some constructions activities.

Yes, man can tame the weather. Not completely, but you will find this article very interesting.
VLADIMIR Putin was defeated by the weather today, despite spending £1.3 million to spike the clouds with a chemical cocktail to supposedly guarantee sunshine on his vast annual military parade. A 7…

@LadyDuck It could be done on restricted and limited basis.

Thanks for sharing the link of the article. It makes an interesting reading. Russians have the technology to stop the rain but it requires massive efforts and money and this technology cannot be applied every now and then.

@dpk262006 Exactly, but this is the prove that it can be done.

Yes, nature is more powerful and unpredictable than human beings and cannot be tamed.

@ilocosboy I doubt that if mankind could ever over power nature in the future also.

It is not easy to tame the nature, even if we make so many scientific advancement.

Sadly, we're probably part of the problem. A lot of those "advancements" humans have made could in fact be the cause for nature's fury.

Yes, human beings researched a lot and tried to over power nature. However, nature has its way and fury and it takes revenge in its own manner and that too sometimes without sounding a warning.

Rainbow Span
LOL there used to be some commercial about some sort of margarine Chiffon and the woman representing Mother Nature said it's not nice to fool Mother Nature. Nature will do as it pleases and we do not control it. We would be wise to respect Nature and the environment of nature and all the flora and fauna of nature. It can be good or bad, and it is indifferent to what we want, feel or desire. God does control nature and he can make it rain or sunshine as he chooses. He placed a rainbow as a promise to never flood the earth again We cannot control it. God can and does as he chooses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLrTPrp-fW8

Mother Nature is not to be beaten and every now and then she seems to need to forcibly remind us of that fact.

Yes, mankind unsuccessfully try to overpower mother nature in many areas but Nature is unpredictable, more powerful and has its own way to thwart the attempts of humans.

I think that we could help temper it a bit by paying more attention to global warming.

Yes, you are partially right but if we try to play with nature, it could cause unforeseen damage.

Yes, you are right. However, some researchers keep on doing research in the areas of playing with nature.

I've read from some books which said that we are all are parts of the nature. If we are kind to the nature, thus the nature itself will be also kind to us. If we are unfriendly to the nature, then it is also unfriendly to us.

Yes, we are part of this Universe and nature. If we start playing with the nature and try to tame it, nature hits back with all its fury and that too in an unimaginable manner.

I don't think so. It is just an illusion that we have the ability to control nature because it is there to use for our disposal. But the truth is we are just this small of a creature when nature hath its fury and realize we can never overcome nature.

Yes, you are very right that many Scientists, geologists, researchers and Doctors think that one day they will be able to tame the nature but we are small in front of nature and we just cannot guess that what is going to happen next moment.
