I want to fly to my home city to have a get together with childhood friends for a day.
We were five childhood friends and we lost one just few months back.
Two friends are staying at my home city and one is staying in US. Since the friend from US is coming to my home city, I am also asked to join them there.
Since I have got a real tough time as far as my job is concerned as this the peak time of breeding season going on the farm. I have decided to make it for a day.
I will leave in the first week of April meet my all old childhood friends there.
I know the topic of the discussion will be about the friend we lost, as the friend from US couldn’t attend the funeral of our friend who is no more at that time.
Life is short and I don’t want to miss any precious moments that I can share with my childhood friends, so I have planned to attend the get together.
Do you still have a group of your childhood friends?
How often you meet? Are you in touch with each other?
Please respond! Thanks!

All of we friends are also staying away from each other and we got separated gradually one by one after the education to have respective professions! Despite that we try to make it a point to meet as and when it is possible! These are they unforgettable moments of one's life! Thanks @marlina !

Yes, everybody is busy with their lives but then one has to take out the time to meet our childhood friends, that is what I believe in. Nice to know that you have a childhood friend with whom you interact often. Face Book is not for me, my dear friend @Icydoll! Thanks!

When I moved to Israel I went back twice so still hung out with my friends but when I no longer went back someone that I thought was a friend wrote me a very nasty letter and I could not figure out why. I wrote back but she did not. I figured because I was not going back there she was angry at me. That is life. I had to start all over and make friends here. This is where I want to be and not leaving here.

Thanks and yes it was time I came to live in my Homeland. People did not understand. They thought I would go back there but I was only there twice and the last time was 1989 and I do not leave the country now. I believe the person got angry because she knew I was not going back there. I was looking for somewhere else to live.

No because we have all gone our own separate ways and live in different places, I do keep in touch with some of them by phone and email though,

Lucky for you, you still have your childhood friends and remained intact. Most of my childhood friends are long gone since they have different lives to deal with but a few have remained close after all these years.

I have childhood friends but we rarely meet each other because of work, some times in 10 years we only meet once.. I really missed those old days when we were still together ..

The childhood memories with the friends remain too sweet to remember! Nice to know that you could meet at least one time within last 10 years! If tried sincerely you can have frequent contacts too! God bless! Thanks @Jessabuma!

sorry to hear that. anyway, yeah if someone in the circle passed it is really a bit scary because somehow you know that you are at the same age .. and maybe the same lifestyle. so when somebody passed it becomes a wake up call
