Good afternoon.
I am sure most of you heard about this incident in Philadelphia
How stupid is this.Plus sending six officers to this.
all they want to do use the rest room.
customer only.Really this is so racist.
They spend a night in jail.
The mayor was heartbroken about this story.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is more from the USA Today News
The CEO of Starbucks apologized, the mayor of Philadelphia was "heartbroken" and the city police commissioner defended officers who handcuffed and arrested two black men who asked to use a restroom in the coffee shop.
A cellphone video recorded the arrests, including a white man who was meeting the handcuffed men at the Center City shop, repeatedly asking officers "What did they do?" as the men were being handcuffed and taken away.
The video was posted shortly after the incident Thursday and went viral over the weekend, drawing millions of views.
CEO Kevin Johnson said the video shot by customers was "hard to watch." He apologized for the "disheartening situation in one of our Philadelphia-area stores this past Thursday, that led to a reprehensible outcome."

What is wrong with people?!?!?
Its not just people treating blacks badly, a white kid mistreated me at Dollar General a few days ago, I walked out before I had the cops called to me.

This is atrocious and absolutely uncalled for. I've seen homeless people turned away from using public restrooms. One time an employee followed a man into the restroom and chased him out, telling him he can't use their restroom unless he buys something. I hope this type of uncalled for behaviour ends soon.

I hate this kind of incident. Most people in the world are looking for peace and equity. Really, just sitting in your shop waiting for your friend is not allowed? I think this action will lose Starbucks a lot of customers, at least I hope so!

Any place that sells drinks and food to be eaten or drank there have to by law have restrooms open to the public.

I watched the video and they were there waiting on their friend to show up. Everyone was telling the officers and Starbucks this was so wrong, they weren't doing anything yet they were handcuffed and arrested anyway. I don't like anyone losing jobs but that manager should be taken out of there. They have a policy that tells the public to come in to relax. If it was a white couple I doubt this would have happened. I'm so saddened about this.

Tomas Jefferson has said that"Everyone is created equal."The development of human history tells us that narrow nationalism and racist ideas will eventually become a stumbling block to the development of civilized society. Our Chairman Xi claimed at Asia Boao Forum that in today's world, the tide of peace and cooperation is rolling forward. Peace and development are the common aspiration of the peoples of the world, the Cold War mentality and zero sum game increasingly outdated, overbearing or immune only will get into trouble on all sides. Only by insisting on peaceful development and working together can we win and win more.
