Do You Blog or Still Blog?

I'd been a prolific blogger for over 10 years until I had a terrible system glitch with my host and lost so many recent posts. After suffering the loss of precious blog posts, I decided to take a break from content writing and affiliate marketing. I went back to art-making and started art journals and painted on paper and on canvas. I have sold paintings (still do) and exhibited my artworks.
But for some reason I keep going back to writing. Maybe because this has been my job for the past 20 years. Maybe because you cannot entirely shake off (not that I wanted to) who or what you've always been.
For some weeks now, I've had the urge to write and blog again. And after some deliberation (just me and other my other self talking, haha)... I decided to reactivate my blogs. It's great to be able to post again, though I don't know how much traffic I might get in the next few months. I've been so out of content publishing for over 2 years now. I'm not sure how algorithm works nowadays in terms of keyword-based content creation. But that's not important for now.
Anyway, do you guys blog? What sort of content do you publish or write about?

I never really was a blogger. Only on sites like MyLot. I have trie many times to create my own blog but wasn't really sure what to write about. So, I always left it behind. As for you writing again I think it is great. After all, like you said, being a writer all those years, it is hard to let that go. Sometimes things we do in out jobs or careers becomes part of who we are.

That's true. It seems writing will always be a part of me. It's good to know that even though you don't blog, you enjoy writing in a site like myLot. Love the interaction here.

Yes, myLot is beaming with interaction. Sometimes I feel so alone when I blog because no one seems to read or visit my posts.

I have a blog but I don't have a regular niche. I just post about anything and I have a couple different pages. I average about a thousand visitors a month which is pretty good considering I only have time to post 3 times a week.

I do not blog any more and think that blogging might be replaced with YouTube video channels. Do you ever do any videos and do you have a YouTube channel? If you have talent in art, I would like to look at some of it.

I do love watching YouTube video channels, but some days I'd rather read text or look at images even when it's about an art-making process. I have created my own YT account but have not really pushed to create a channel.

@lookatdesktop Yes, I am. I signed up for Tumblr years ago but never got around to developing the site with pictures and text. I'm mostly immersed in Instagram.

i used to blog. Until I got pregnant. A lot of my friends have been urging me to blog again but I hardly have time for it.

I know what you mean. It gets tougher especially when the kids reach toddlerhood. But I did manage to maintain a personal blog while my kids were babies. I would write when they're asleep and schedule the posting for later. I also earned a few dollars through mom-targeted sponsored links and posts.

I understand how you feel about blogging. I have a blog and do not use it all the time because not sure anymore where to post it. I feel that it is my blog and I can write whatever I want and it gives me the freedom to express myself and I love that freedom. I feel at times there is too many pressures put on people and no where to turn but on a blog you can say whatever you feel and get it out there somehow.

Yes, you can post whatever you want. I like that Blogger lets you lock your posts. I kept a private journal for years.

I was publishing contents randomly. Then I came to know from trial and error method, the specific niche will only get more impact than random posts. I spend some money on the design and custom theme. It's in the development process. I am expecting the delivery within one week.
