The one I consider my families doctor is 37 mins away from our home. He is a good friend of my dad as well. According to my dad, he used to be part of a huge medical company but later on built his own office because he got tired of seeing people over charged and treated unfairly. What makes him worth driving the extra mile for is his willingness to go above and beyond for his patients even if they don't have a lot of money. That and he's very cheap compared to our doctors here in town

There is a doctor shortage in my province. Finding a good family doctor is next to nil. Glad that you have someone you can rely on.

@cupkitties It's been ongoing for many years. My city has a University teaching hospital but all of the doctors it produces leave the province or country to practice elsewhere.

Nice for you that you got a doctor that is a family friend and close to you.

I think it is very important to have a doctor that cares and you can trust in him. It worth driving an extra mile.
