It is getting hot here and I like to take some walks in the evening when the weather is not so hot. Yesterday I took a walk with my husband, my kids and my mother. Guess who came back home with dozens of mosquitoes bites? I don't know why they choose me, probably they love my blood but once in a while they could choose another one.
As I live in a rural area mosquitoes are millions but this year there are three times more than in other years.
I hate this little insects so much
Do you use to get bitten by mosquitoes? What kind of remedies do you use? Any natural ones?

We should walk together, at least the mosquitoes would split, half will bite you, the other half will bite me. We can be in a group of 20 people, I am the one they choose all the time. The doctor told me it's my blood group, they love it. I use Autan Spray, it helps, but I get some bites.

I hate mosquitoes. They love me too, that is why I make sure I'm always covered and have a mosquito/bug repellent with me. I try to avoid places where I know there may be lots of mosquitoes and certain times of day when mosquitoes are very active.
The diseases we may not know this little blood sucking creatures carry.....
I hate mosquitoes! and flies, cockroaches, mice. They seem to exists to torment humanity or better yet why do they have to exist at all!

We donĀ“t have mosquitoes where I live. But when I have gone to places where there are mosquitoes, I buy a repellent.

@nela13 Yes I heard they don't like that fragrance. Your English is very good, did you learn it at school? Does your husband speak English?

I have citronella plants, as well as citronella candles, around my patio in my back yard. It is a natural mosquito repellant. It works pretty good at keeping them away. The other nice thing is that we have a lot of bats here, and those bats love to eat mosquitoes!

@nela13 I don't know if you can get them in your country, but we also have tiki torches that burn citronella oil. Do they have citronella plants in your country that you could buy and plant in your garden?

our house has screened windows and doors but somehow a few manage to enter. we light up a mosquito coil or spray around so these blood-suckers don't get us bitten.

@nela13 summer makes the mosquitoes swarm. so the vases with stagnant water should be cleaned and water changed to new. surely the maggots are there.

Mosquitoes also like me. Fortunately there is no mosquito at my home since I live in very high floor. The mosquitoes need to take the life so that they will reach here. Furthermore, I think our government has made some methods to get rid of the mosquitoes and therefore they are not as many as before.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I have never used mint or lemongrass but I will try, it probably smells better than repelents.
