Shortly we’re off to get our second vaccination for COVID. We are also picking up Vince’s medical history from one medical practice. I wrote about this practice only giving 10 minute appointments so we will find a different practice.
Later this afternoon, we are visiting old friends that we don’t see too often because of the (physical) distance between us. They have a unit in a different retirement village so it will interesting to compare our places.
Unfortunately, we’ll miss the free movie night at our own clubhouse but that’s okay. Friends are more important than films.
The photo is one of Vince's creations.

I hope you don't have any reaction to the second dose. Enjoy your evening with your friends. (I'm hoping you'll tell us if their retirement home is very different from yours... )

@JudyEv You're welcome...
You could always tell them, "Oh, I'm sorry you're getting over-charged for your home... " just to have fun with them...

@DaddyEvil I don't think I'll be saying that. I'm not sure it would go down too well.

@JudyEv true.
Got my second dose last Sept. 9 so I've been fully vaccinated for almost two weeks now. I still practice social distancing and wearing of a face mask.

@allen0187 We have few restrictions here (in WA) as hardly anyone wears masks now. We're all still encouraged to social distance.

That’s a lovely photo, very detailed!
Did you have any problems with your first dose of vaccination?
You have a wonderful night! You’re right, you can watch a movie anytime but seeing friends is a special treat!

I felt so relieved after having my second shot, and I wish the same for you.
I am sure that you will have a nice time visiting your friends, and making your comparisons.
Just remember, home is where the heart is, regardless of how fussy the neighbourhood is or is not.

Enjoy your time with your friends. I’m done with my vaccine but i only had one shot because it was just a single dose for Janssen.

@JudyEv - Congratulations on getting your second jab! My husband and I have now received our third dose, simply because it has been over six months since we got our first two, and my husband's doctor is concerned about my husband, since he is so immune compromised. I'm glad to hear about people all over the world getting vaccinated. It is the only way we will ever get Covid under control. You'll have to tell me about how your retirement community compares to your friend's. I'll be interested to hear what you think.

@JudyEv - I was relieved to get my booster. Here, the Pfizer booster is available to people over 65, or teachers, or healthcare workers and other front-line workers, or people with an underlying medical condition. In other words, almost everyone!
