Lockdown again?

my husband went to the bank today and there was a long queue. Looked like people were panicking again. Perhaps withdrawing their money in preparation for the upcoming lockdown(just hearsay) he heard that a lot of people were talking about lockdown. the government simply said it was fake news. The same thing they said 2 years ago but they indeed put the whole Metro Manila under strict lockdown. are you ready for the possible lockdown?

We are not going to have another lockdown. The authorities have implemented strict guidelines, another lockdown would be disastrous for the economy.

@xFiacre Yes, the Swiss people (except a little group of very young people) would tolerate another lockdown. You have no idea how patient the Swiss people are and those who live here and are not Swiss keep quiet.

@LadyDuck Admirable. I enjoyed lockdown even though it presented some inconveniences.

@ladyduck And would the Swiss people tolerate another lockdown? I know it would not be tolerated here.

We have restrictions in place, less customers allowed in non-essential stores, and things like that, but we are not having another lockdown. Here merchants are not so likely to accept cash, there are many other methods of payment. I am confident that things will remain as they are right now, which isn't the greatest, but it is not a lockdown.

@Janet357 We had that if we wanted to dine in. We no longer have dine in, only take out.

Ok this is okay..At least people can still go out for essentials. Here even the small store requires everyone to show their vaccine card.

With the current trend right now is looks like they will be forced to lockdown again unless the current trend will reverse then the government might just not choose the lockdown once again since it is costly and counterproductive to the economy. But it will be dependent on how the people respond to government protocols that we have in place.

@Janet357 Well you cannot control it because the conditions we’re doing good cases were down so after having been locked down for a couple of years I think its really hard yo stop people from going out. It's not only in our place but yue whole world is.

Because people were so carefree last month. They felt as if they had been deprived of malls and so on. now, here's what they've got.

I don’t believe we will. Already distribution of food and other products are slow.

I don't think we'll go into another lockdown like we did back in 2020 but with the virus spreading as rapidly as it is it could still be a possibility. Right now the schools have gone back to online classes. They say two weeks but it could be longer. Hope you don't go back into another lockdown.

we are all affected by the lockdown because jobs have been put off for a while so no income or little income to the most of us.

@Janet357 I am sorry that you may have to go through a lockdown. There was talk here but not sure. Now, it is time for the 4th booster and then it was said that in March we will get a vaccine against the Omicron. Sounds like the Govt is not telling you something. If there is another lockdown here then we can go out for food and if we need medicines and essentials they call it.

I have this wedding I want to attend to so no, but after that, yeah, another lockdown wouldn't bother me.
