Finally took a shot at a lone butterfly in our yard

At 6 in the morning, I checked the flowers on the ground. They are planted by my sister, then so suddenly I sighted a very cute butterfly. I went back to my bedroom and got my camera. At first it was hiding but when I shake one flower it showed up and took shot.
I'm so happy and excited to be able to capture a shot for so long I dreamed of. I'm wondering why this little butterfly is so early to visit our flowers.
I thought butterflies have long hours sleep? Where do they sleep by the way? What's their position when asleep hahaha. Answer your homework
Image shown here, the cute butterfly I took shot early morning this day

@cacay1 We will see about that. I think it is understandable that people will rush to the malls because it has been 2 years that it wasn't allowed to do that. I think with more vaccinated already than the unvaccinated person we expect that infections may not be as strong as before. This is a test for the government if the vaccination program has an effect already with the majority of the population.

@rsa101, Marlina had posted answers how and where butterflies sleep and stay. By the way people there are rampaging to malls after easing to Alert Level 1,what a joke the virus is just lurking in a corner. By next days covid case rises again. What do you think?

Great shot of the butterfly. I don't know a lot about butterflies, but I do know one thing, never help a butterfly out of its cocoon, because the struggle is what makes it strong enough to survive.

@cacay1 You know, now that you mention it, I don't think I have seen one either, not in the wild. But you can purchase cocoons for students to watch the butterfly break out. I have seen that a few times, it is pretty cool.

@cacay1 Whew! I thought I failed.
This is what I found online.
Do butterflies sleep? At night, or when the day is cloudy, adult butterflies rest by hanging upside down from leaves or twigs, where they are hidden among the foliage.

@brokenbee can't you see it? It's sipping the nectar of the pink colored flower, see it at the middle part of the flowers.

@cacay1 Oh yes, I saw it now after you told me where it is... I was expecting a bigger butterfly... I love those flowers.. I like that plant because it's like it never runs out of flowers. And it has different colors...

@mildredtabitha wow, actually, I seldom see butterfly in our yard that is why I am sad that it no longer appear .Until this day, it did not appear so means it has found another site where flowers bloomed abundantly.
