Money, Money, Money

I don't play the lottery , therefore the kind of money l am talking about would have to come from some other source. Perhaps l could come up with a useful invention - or l could write a bestseller which is made into a movie, or l could find gold in Guyana. Now what would l do with a windfall of money? First l would take care of the needs of myself, close family members and friends. Then , my favorite project -to build a home for abused women. What would you do with millions to spend ? I would surely take care of myself and my husband first. I would give money to some local charities, who take care of elders and I would also donate to animal shelters.

@Kandae11 I feel so sad for abused animals, I always place food for the strays in the garden.

Similar, I have an idea for a project though to renovate an old mill near here.

Will it remain a mill or you have something else planned for it?

@Kandae11 Yes, well it is a non working mill at this point, but I would turn it back into a working mill, and perhaps a restaurant as well. It is on the register of historical places, but it doesn't have a sign. I looked it up one time. I should call the county and see if they might be able to provide a sign.

I certainly would make sure my children and grandchildren have financial security. I would love to have my ideal house built and it would all be on one floor (no more stairs). It doesn't even have to be a big house just one that suits my needs. Your plan to build a home for abused women certainly is a great way to spend your windfall.

@Kandae11 I'm glad you were able to get out of an abusive marriage. Your wish to offer helping hands to other women in the same situations is admirable. I hope one day it isn't just a wish but that you'll be able to actually have a place that abused women can go to.

I also would like a one story ranch style home with verandas all around. About the home, l had a taste of abuse in my first and only marriage but nothing compared to what other women have and are experiencing. I understand it is very necessary to have a helping hand when the need is desperate - to leave or die.

I am right with you on that Kandase. Being a survivor myself and the fact that it altered my life totally and my familys well being, yes I would also donate and build to battered women and children services. But first an actual house for myself and my son.

I can tell you I would return to Latvia where life was easier and slower, I guess being alone I would divide the money up for my stepchildren and then think of other useful ways to invest,

@Kandae11 I left to get away from the memories but now I miss all that was familiar and known but it would take too much money to get me back there, I should of thought about all that before I left and completely turned my life around,

I don't know what I would do with so much money. I'm sure I would invest it, go on trips I've always wanted to take, give where necessary. There are so many places the money could be helpful.

Currently, I would need them for my grandmother's treatment. But we have alternatives too. Btw, just saying. But your post's title reminded me of BTS's song "blood, sweat and tears". You would know why if you heard it.

If I won the lottery, I would look for ways to multiply the amount of winnings. I would look for where to invest them. And in the profit from this amount, I would buy real estate.
