How long have you had your laptop?

The laptop I use everyday I have had for probably close to 10 years. It is so old it still has win 8.1 on it. It has it's problems, but is still quite reliable. It is an Acer Aspire and is the best computer I have ever had. It was a touchscreen, but that feature doesn't work anymore. I do have a back up laptop here plus a chromebook, but I won't put them into play unless I have to. So far so good with old reliable!

I had an Acer years ago and it lasted for about 8 years if I remember correctly. I really liked it.

Yes, I am sure this one is older than that. It was costly when it was new

I have had mine for about three years. Have never had much luck in keeping laptops for the amount of time you have had your Acer. I have had no problem with mine at all until soon after I went ahead and downloaded Windows 11. Mine is an HP and it has a touchscreen also.

I was thinking mine as an Acer but when I looked it's an Asus. I've had it a long time. It doesn't work on battery any more but other than that it works well.

I'm 19. I had my first laptop at 16. It's a regular black dell. I had my second laptop last year. It's a dell Inspiron 2 in 1 (tab and laptop). Both are very good.

I haven't had a laptop in a while. My last one didn't last as long as I would have liked. Long story short: I wasn't always as careful with it as I should have been.

I have three laptops. I've got an Acer that's around 15 years old. (I erased the O/S that was in it and installed Puppy Linux. The heading and taskbar take up a LOT of the 10 inch screen, so I don't like using it.) The laptop I use most of the time is around ten years old. I'm still using Win8.1 on it. And the other laptop, around four years old, uses an Android O/S. (It's a bit of a pain in the tush so I rarely use it.)

That is another reason I like this laptop 17 inch screen so it works well for me.

@snowy22315 The one I use most has a 15 inch screen. I'm comfortable with that.

Acer is pretty good! My last laptop I had for 4 years, my current laptop I just got a few weeks ago and hopefully, I get around the same amount from it or more. I put my laptops to the test with using art programs and video games haha so they are constantly working, but I do take good care of them. My last laptop was perfectly fine, it probably had another year or 2 into it honestly, but a windows update totally crashed it.

This one refuses to do Windows updates. They are a pain in the butt, but supposedly keeps the puter safe. I run virus scans pretty often though.

We have the same laptop, mine's an Acer Aspire too. I had it 2008 and to this date, still working but so slow. I open it everyday just to maintain it and do just some internet browsing.
