I just ended up ordering some food, from a delivery service. It got me thinking - do many of you like to do this?
It's pretty amazing how convenient and just plain simple it is, these days, to order food from so many restaurants with these different companies that are around now.
I remember when it was mostly just pizza or Chinese food that you could order for delivery, but now it is just about anything you can think of!
Anyways, I think my food will be here soon and I am looking forward to eating it..
Have a nice Valentines day everyone!

I love the convivence of it. We don't order out often because it is so expensive, but things like Grubhub has really helped with having easier access to food that might be more difficult to get to!

@Icydoll Occasionally I buy when I'm lazy to cook.

@dilleo Since I go to the library daily, I feel lazy to cook when I reach at home at evening. So I rather take away food and eat them in the room.
But yeah, it is almost impossible to listen to, but to observe it everyday when she orders food delivery, you almost want to say she is quite loaded.

It is a great and simple way to get your food. Especially when you don't want to cook. Enjoy.

Usually I like to order the raw food to cook by myself. As to the delivery food, I don't often order it since it is much more convenient for me to go out to have it. There is just a Pizza Hut and other restaurants which are nearby my home. When the food is delivered, I don't think iti is as tasteful as I eat in the restaurant.

@dilleo I love freshly cooked food. My mother cook very well. So I am more fond of cooked food. But sometimes I order packed food also

I like the convenience and all of the different available options, but I hate paying the extra fees for it.

@dilleo Even if I use someone's DoorDash Plus or whatever it's called, it's still expensive. Then again, they're doing a service for me and deserve to get paid for it.

@spiderdust Yep. That as well too. The driver has to make money, and of course the company takes a percentage from the restaurants.

I prefer to cook our own food, occasionally buying it from peddlers.

Not that I like, but only when I need to that it becomes a convenient way. Like when I wasn't able to cook or when there is an occasion but doesn't want to go out to eat or when I'm just craving for something. Other than that, seldom do we do deliveries. Most of the time, I cook our food and I still prefer it that way. But you are right to say we have so many food choices now and that is a good thing.

I hope you enjoyed your meal. I am not a fan of takeaway food because I have had some bad experiences. My local Indian takeaway used to do a lovely range of curries but something has gone wrong with them and their food does not taste the same anymore. They seem to use the same spicy red sauce for all their dishes and it does not work. I think they are trying to save money on ingredients , but it is making their food less authentic which is not what we want from an Indian restaurant.
