The Site where I got my first dollar

It was at myLot that I started earning online In those days we had the scope to earn more as there was a niche for article writers and I remember earning as much as 140 dollars in one day.
I have been on several other Sites as well and I can say my earnings in all those Sites have been pretty good too. Some Sites have closed down and some are just languishing where there is hardly any activity. I do not know why they do not close those Site.
What's your story?

I was on a site called Helium, for around seven years from 2005, until it closed down.
It was an article writing site too, and paid well. Talent scouts would peruse the articles, and sometimes offer to buy an article's rights from you, as well.
I sold two articles, but they only paid me $5 for each one.
I wrote around 2,000 articles there, and I was paid around $1,000 over the seven years that I was there. They had competitions too, which paid prize money. A great site, until it closed.

Wow!! That was a huge amount you earned. Sad it closed. When myLot had a niche for article writing that was the time I earned 140 dollars on one day the maximum for a day

@allknowing Yes, it was good, as it paid you upfront, a small amount for every article that you wrote on their site, and then more for the views as well.
Mylot has moved away from article writing submissions, and I was told not to write poetry here, as they are not allowed to be written on this site. My poetry got removed by the arbitrator.
He did say though, that I could include a poem in my writing, if it was not labelled as poetry, but written as part of a wider post, and relevant to the post.
As I like to write poetry sometimes, this did annoy me about mylot a bit.
Some poems still do get past the administrator though, if the title does not say that it is poetry.
I will not take the risk again though, as I do not want to be banned from this site.

@innertalks I was not aware of this rule. I have had posts where I did include some poems that I had composed but those posts have remained.

I am with FC and BMF but the last two months I concentrated on myLot and my earnings were very good (27 plus)

I earn a little on several sites but most are not writing sites nor are they survey sites. I used to earn a little at bubblews and before that gather.com but both have shut down.
I like Mylot the best out of all the sites I have tried but I do miss Gather.com sometimes because there I could post more than one photo in a discussion.

Bubblews was the site that I first started writing on. It paid very well too and then abruptly shutdown and stole money from many of us.

The first online payment I got was from answeree then mylot . I earned there twice and now I can't post any answers I don't know why came back to mylot which is a consistent site

I am pretty sure that the first dollars I earned online was through Inbox Dollars, but I was on this site in the early days as well..I left for about 5 years though. Also, I remember doing a lot of survey sites, most of which aren't around now.
