Dog Bites?

Yeah, one serious one. I was cleaning this house for this "rich lady", she had this mutt. I walked into a closet, thought he'd pooped in there, I bent down half way and baby talked him-did you poopie over there? Friggin dog jerked up and bit my in the nose. Almost completely ripped through the middle between the 2 nostrils(septum?) Didn't hurt, but lots and lots of blood. Went to hospital, waited for about 3 hours, finally ended up having to see a plastic surgeon for it. Most painful part?(aside from my nose being swollen real bad and looking funny)Was when they gave me the 6 shots of novacaine in my nose on the spot he bit. Instant tears lol. Think it was 6 stiches total, and of course he used the black stitches, so I looked like a freakoid lol. Healed up great, can't even see the scar from it. Stupid dog, should've kicked him when I had the chance lol...Nope, not uneasy around them. Just learned how to read them better!

Yes, when I was little, about 8 I think. I was bitten by our dog, she was a beagle I believe. I was being stupid and decided to take her bone while she was trying to eat it lol. She bit me on the lip, no damage done, mostly swelling. It didn't affect me at all. I absolutely love dogs, always have. :)

i never been actually bitten by a dog, i have been snapped at by a couple. I am still uneasy around certain dogs, like if the are mean looking and come at me barking and snarling then yeah i am afraid.

When my son was four, he spent the night at a family friend's house. The next day they came and got me because their chow had went on a biting spree. He bit their son in the face and he had six stitches. Grabbed their daughter's hair trying to get at the back of her neck. Another little girl got away. My son wasn't as lucky. The dog knocked him down and stood on his back and bit him in the back of the head. He started to bite him a second time, but the owner got him to let go. My son ended up with a 3" and a 4" bite on the back of his head. It took 12 staples to close it up. My son is sixteen now, and still doesn't like dogs. He liked our dogs when they were pups, but as soon as they get about a year old, he avoids them. He doesn't go around them unless he absolutely has to. He's definately a cat person.

I was once bit by a friend's rottweiler, on my hand; wasn't too serious. To this day I still do not know why she bit me. It did make me leery to be around her or pet her for the first month or so after it happend. Finally, it just faded away and it didn't bother me to be around her or play with her.

When I was just out of high school my first full-time job was at a pet store. I LOVED it. But one time a puppy got his paw stuck in the cage by his water bottle. I freaked out and reached in to help him because he was screaming. Needless to say, he bit. Not his fault though!

I don't know that I've been bitten by one. If I have then it wasn't tramatic enough for me to not be around dogs. My girl who is now 8 was bitten on the face/nose on the day of her first bithday party. It was my sister shih tzu who was an older dog and had just had back surgery so wasn't in the mood to have a baby messing with him. She actually cornered him and he turned around and snapped at her. The only thing I was mad about what the fact that it was on her birthday! She knew better then to mess with that dog. It hasn't hurt her any though. She still plays with the big dogs we have who bite hard when they are playing. We're working on that with them though. I tell her if she doesn't want to get bit leave the dogs alone!! DUH!

yes and once they bite u have to take 1 powerfull injetction

I love all animals, and never had a fear of them. Well, this stupid little chahuahua bit me on the foot at a nursing home. Not once, but 2 times. I was scared of it after that. Anytime I had to go there, I made them put that dog in another area. Now, I get a little leary of yappy small dogs because of it. As, there was another mixed small one there that snapped at me a few times.

My earliest memory if of being bitten by a dog. I was three years old and sitting on the floor playing with a little terrier... I mustve done something to piss him off but he bit me IN THE EYE ! MY parents rushed me to the hospital and a plastic surgeon re-attached my eye (it was apparently hanging out of its socket!). Luckily the scar is sooo tiny now thanks to a brilliant job done so long ago. I am not scared or uneasy around dogs at all - but maybe if I remembered the incident better I would be!
