I love persimmons, I have a persimmons tree in my yard. Many are ripe and I picked some this afternoon, they were my afternoon snack. I like to eat it with cinnamon, it is like a dessert for me. I wish I could share a picture with you, they have a fantastic color, an autumn color, so beautiful

@crazyhorseladycx Some members here from US know it and have tried them but probably they live on a different area.

I haven't tried one in years. I used to not care for them, but ate them as a child. My grandfather had several trees in his yard and I would eat them when I was young. I will have to try them with cinnamon!! That sounds like a game changer!

I grew up on fuyu persimmons . . . back then it seemed like only Asian folks knew what that fruit was. We just peeled and ate them as is - I love that honey-ish taste when perfectly ripe. Yes, the orange is so lovely for the season. My parents always had a persimmon tree in the corner of their yard, but squirrels ALWAYS took the fruits . . . I guess they love them too .

I adore them.
We used to pick and eat them as children in the Ozark region of Missouri.
Oh how I loved them. Nice and soft and sweet.

I do and it makes a great dessert! We always had my mom's persimmon pudding for Thanksgiving. A treat so good we would even have it with breakfast.

I'm very, with this fruit, the color is a bit orange and the texture is delicious and sweet too, it's a shame it's been a few months I rarely see this fruit at my place, maybe there are still a lot of people at your place

I read somewhere that persimmons originate from China, if they do well in Portugal I think they do well in Indonesia too.
