Tinder User Can Buy Love: Seriously?!?

The dating app Tinder launched a new feature called Tinder Select for only 1% of users. The main goal is to have high-quality and better ways to find a user's match. The site is trying to bend the common phrase: "Money can't buy love." As being claimed, a member should pay a membership fee of $499 per month. In this sense, a user can buy love by using this dating app.
Do you have many friends that met on a dating app?
Do you believe that dating today is less difficult than it once was?

I actually know 2 couples that got married thanks to finding their mates on a dating site. But that was 15-20 years ago . . . I am thinking it was all a little different back then, maybe even the generation too. I'm all for meeting and getting to know people in person - I would never pay that much for any app!

I also have the worst thoughts when it comes to dating sites. There are some dating sites that hire people to pretend to be seeking dates. The main goal is that they were just playing around with the members and harvesting their hard-earned money to keep on letting the conversation go.

That sounds ridiculous, wow. Yes, my childhood best friend met her husband on the internet, and have been married 16 years now, with two sons. There is also a man in my church who met his wife online. He was a widower, and a little older than I think we expect a lot of online daters to be.
I’ve never done it myself. My current best friend is trying it, and has had terrible luck. It’s just not for me, but maybe I’ll feel differently in the future.

I am glad that your childhood best friend found her better half through it. On one hand, lucky for those who can find the right one. On the other hand, some experienced the opposite situation. Personally, I never tried to find a date on a dating site. Although it can be different in the future, as you mentioned,

In India dating is a modern word. We didn't have it earlier. We had and still have arranged marriages in India.

@aninditasen I hope they are. Do they need to consider if thete is love between them first?

@Shavkat If the parents are clever enough on both sides they find out the background of the family and then finalize the marriage.

I think the site only play a role of intermediary agent, whether the user can gain love depend on themselves.I believed today dating is easier than before, but that is just dating, not fall in love.eventually, love depend on ppl themselves, not money.

@jefferson126 I heard this practice for a couple of times with my students online from your country. Some traditional Chinese folks arrange blind dates for their offsprings.
