Well priced Bananas not to be

Yesterday we went to Carrefour - not the hypermarket, but the small one in town. Dalene saw bananas advertised at far less than half the price bananas normally sell for. So we went bananas and took a whole bunch. But we could not buy them as the scale was broken!
We tried everything - from a suggestion that they can charge for a kilo to us running to the market and asking someone there to use their scale (all in broken English and translation apps), all to no avail. The staff could not see a way to make the sale happen. As for the vexing question as to when the scale will be fixed, that got a shrug.
Moral of the story - don't go bananas when you see a good price

Gee, seemed that would have been logical to make the sale without the scale..that rhymes.

That shop does not sound like it is very well organised, did you get some bananas from another shop in the end? The bananas for sale here are either overripe or green, and I don`t think they taste as good now as they used to.

Carrefour generally is not well organised here, you have to be careful shopping, shelves are packed oddly, prices are not on the shelf, specials are not honoured - its not our favourite store. Some of the market stalls had some, but at a whopping price and also going overripe. I'm sure there will be a next time

I hope that we will still see a lot of sale in the supermarket
