The Country and Western Night is over and done with

It’s 5.00 am here in Western Australia and I seem to have been awake most of the night. In the end, I got sick of lying there awake so I decided to get up and see what you’re all up to. The Country and Western night was held at our clubhouse last night. You can see our costumes in the photo. I bought three lots of fringing and tacked to clothes we already had. One day, I’ll put a photo of the back of my hat which had a rose and ribbon on it. The social committee does a great job of decorating the clubhouse for these events. Ninety-two people attended. We all took our own drinks and food. A singer who had recently returned from Nashville entertained us. There were all sorts of western decorations and, in general, it was a great night. I nearly forgot to say Vince won a voucher to the local hardware store for Best Dressed Male so yay for him! I'm afraid I look like the cat that killed the canary but I can't do much about it. This was taken as we were waiting to go in.

I love Vince's shirt in particular. I'm going to have trouble removing the fringe on all outfits - just because it looks so good.

MY, my look at those cowpokes! Vince is looking very well. His face used to always be so red. He has a much more normal skin tone now.

Yes, that's true but part of the redness is how his skin tone reacts to the camera light/flash. He has fair skin and some red in his beard so he sunburns easily and looks red in photos, a bit more than in real life.

I would get busy doing something but hopefully Vince is sleeping and, although he is quite deaf and doesn't have his hearing aids in at the moment, I don't want to wake him.

Look like awesome outfits! 92 people is a great number ! Shows the enthusiasm of the folks ! Greetings for the Hardware shop voucher. By the way, we got an Emulsion paint from a specialty Hardware and Paint store. It was an exciting experience. Have a nice time !!

I didn't notice that I didn't get a mention. I wouldn't mind losing a few kilos too but I'm not so keen that I'd go through surgery.

Thanks and he does, doesn't he? He is doing well. Gets tired quite easily but that's all to be expected. He lost six kilos over the period but has put back a couple of them. He looks better for it really.
