My latest purchase is a vertical garden

We have a tiny garden here and I’ve decided to buy a vertical garden. It's sometimes called a living wall too. You probably all know what this is but it’s a gadget that stand upright against a fence or wall and has a series of pockets one above the other. There are seven across and five down (I think) which gives me 35 pockets, except that I have room on the fence for two of them. I want to grow some annuals in the pockets and perhaps even a lettuce plant or two. I’d like more colour around the place. I don’t have photos yet as I’ve only just ordered the pockets.

I was looking at those vertical gardens, I could put one on the balcony for the fresh herbs. I like them.

@JudyEv I would place at the end of our balcony, it would cut the heat of the afternoon sun and add some more privacy if we wanto to have dinner on the balcony.

I think it would look nice on our fence. I'm looking forward to getting it established. The pockets aren't very big. The biggest I could find are about 7 inches

I have seen those, both with flowers as well as with vegetables. They seem really ideal for vegetables that sprawl. I planted 2 cherry tomato plants in a pot, and I thought I would get 'a few' from it, but every day this week I have picked no less than 13. That is alot of tomatoes.

Some plants do really well in pots. I'm tempted to grow some potatoes in one of those bags that they sell. It's fun to harvest your own vegetables. Your two tomato plants will surely keep you in tomatoes while they're producing.
