My "TO DO" List

United States
September 3, 2024 9:51am CST
Happy Tuesday Everyone! Since yesterday was a holiday (Labor Day) and a long weekend today feels like Monday. The sun is shining and the temperatures are beautiful. Almost feels like Fall but not quite. I haven't been here for a few days. Once the weekend rolls around I close the laptop and stay off the internet. This past weekend my daughter and I got a few things done around the house that we've been putting off and it feels good to be able to cross those things off my "to do" list. My "to do" list is never done as I cross off things that do get done it seems I've added more than I've crossed off. My goal for today is to see what's been going on here and hopefully make a dent in my notifications. Are you a "to do" list maker?

I am very anal and live for my to-do lists and paper calendar. I have quite a large to-do list; and I don't think our housekeeper will be able to do it all today. She is now working full time online and doesn't have much time for me. I hope you are having a good day.

With everything you have going on I don't think you'd be able to keep track of everything without some sort of "to do" list @LindaOhio

I wouldn't know how to live without my to-do lists. I have one almost every day. and they are always extensive. I have a large calendar that I keep on the dining room table where I keep every appointment I have on it

Yes, I am a "to do" list maker and there are things that I continue to procrastinate and go on and on from list to list.

I try to make a list of five things I want to do the next day, and it usually helps me get things done. However, lately my list has just been to de clutter. I had everything in order a few months ago, but something happened, and it isn’t at all like that now. I’ve got to do a better job.

I swear gremlins sneak in here and leave clutter around especially on my desk. No matter how many times I clean it off and organize it, it just seems to attract all sorts of papers, bills etc.

I should make a to do list but I would be upset at the end of the day if I couldn't complete everything on it.

My list is just an ongoing one of things I want to do without any time frame. I would be upset if it was a daily one and I couldn't get it all done. Too much pressure

I’m not a to-do list maker myself, but I know how satisfying it can be to cross things off when you do. Hope you get through those notifications and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Good Morning! It was a chilly morning but it's slowly warming up. I know the feeling with your to-do list. Except that I can't do mine while working lol.

You're always so busy I wouldn't think you would have time for a "to do" list. I always picture you doing it all and not even needing a "to do" list.

@Marilynda1225 It helps to prioritize what I have to do. Then there's a different to do list for when company comes over, we go on trips things like that.

@RebeccasFarm yes, I definitely need to clear my head and keep off the internet as much as possible. It's just so easy to get sucked into online sites and lose track of time.

That would be lost $$ if you didn't do your surverys. I don't do them so awhile ago I decided to disconnect myself from the internet over the weekends.

I make lists of all sorts of things. Sometimes, I put things on the list that I've already done but it makes me feel good to write them down then cross them off!!

Hey, sounds like you had a productive weekend! I totally get the feeling of endless "to do" lists—always adding more than you finish. I’m a big fan of lists too; they keep me organized.

I need a list because I'm a bona fide procrastinator. This way I can see what I have to do and can't ignore it forever.

I do not make any "to do" list. Just plan in my head what I need to do.

I feel like if I accomplish something important each day I am ahead. My energy is pretty much nil and void lately. I have been setting alarms on my phone as my "to do" list.

Believe me, I always try making a to-do list, but ended up forgetting about the list at all. I think procrastination is the reason and scrolling on my phone for hours always hinder me from doing all the necessary work. I applaud you for doing it.

I try to step away from my laptop and phone for that same reason. I can get lost for hours and then nothing gets done.

I am a huge to do list maker too. After I read about Eva decluttering, I got to my to do list and worked in the office yesterday. With my hubs being home, I was able to check certain things with him and get his approval to throw some items out, which I gladly did. It looks alot better, now there is another smaller closet that I want to do in another couple of weeks.

Getting your office organized is a big accomplishment. I'm sure it will be nicer to work in an organized area now.

Yes, I am. Unfortunately, the list is always too long. Sometimes I think I expect too much of myself.
