Happy Thursday Everyone! the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day in my little corner of the myLot world.
What made my morning even better is that I talked to our fellow myLotter Valerie @just4him and she said to say hello to everyone from her, She's doing great, working on her books and getting in her daily steps, etc. She said she'll pop in occasionally and say hi.
MyLot (for me) is way more than the money and I've made some very great friends here throughout the years. I look forward to chatting here every morning while I have my coffee. I'm sure many of us can say we know each other very well even though we've never met in person.
So, thank you myLot for this wonderful opportunity to expand my friendships around the world.
I'm going over to my oldest daughters for lunch and to help her pack up some of her Etsy orders that need to go out. Thankfully the post office will do a porch pick-up so that's one trip we don't have to make.
I have to say that Valerie brightened my day with her upbeat personality especially compared to my phone chat with my other friend who is a Debbie Downer.
Now I'm off to get a few things done before leaving and hope everyone has/had a good day.

@Marilynda1225 Most members here are from the US but it is possible to find people here from Europe (like me), Asia, Australia and Africa

I totally agree with you, @allknowing! I have said multiple times on this platform in various responses, that you should look at this flatform where you can discuss things, speak out your heart, and make new friends online. The monetary part is the bonus. I think you (not you personally) should consider it that way. I prefer to keep this mentality when I am here. So I got to make new friends, who bond and buzz with me instantly! Thank you!

She's taking a break to work on her books but she'll pop in occasionally to update us.
I can honestly say that I've made some true friendships here (especially you) and I think about you even when I'm not online.

I can vouch for this. Yes, over the years the friendships do grow. We meet like-minded people and there are some with whom we come on the same wavelength quite instantly. By the grace of God, I too found a few pals this way. And of course, on this platform.
It happened with me that at times the conversation does go to and fro. And there is such an excellent tuning with a few friends that one keeps waiting for the other's response so that the conversation can go on. But it's not only about keeping the conversation going on. But it's about hearing the other person's views. The wait is quite exiting, at times.
I also agree with you on the point that there are almost all friends hare whom we might have never met in person. But the bonding, the affection and the tuning it such that it looks like there was some past birth communication between us that was incomplete and so we are here again talking with each. It's such a great feeling and it's beyond words.
I think we have very rarely commented on each other's discussion. Or maybe, this may be the very first time. But I am sure I have found a new friend in you! Thank you, mate

@Marilynda1225 You have underlined what I said - it's the first time that we are interacting. And it's always a special feeling. To be honest, I echo your feelings. I too never thought there would be personal acquaintance just through the medium of one forum. I mean just see, what things like the social media can do.
As far as friendship is concerned, I'll add one name to my list today 
Yeah yeah, I too will love to go through your discussions. And try to be a part of them.
Each one of us have various flavors of interest. So we get to read diversified topics. And I'm sure to get to read more from you.

Hello there, a good friendship online is the best when you need some 1
to pick you up & help you through the day when everything is going
south on you, that's how my day has started out but it's bound to get
better B-4 the wk end, I hope cause this week has been a real downer.

1st we lost 1 of our happy dogs this week & now I can't seem
to find the sensors I need for my sugar monitor, there all on
back log & no 1 has any & don't know when they can get them.

Valerie has a special way about her to make me feel really great too, I am glad that she called you today.
I feel the very same way about our friends I've met here, yourself included.
I often find it is easier to put my thoughts into words with the tap tap tap of the keyboard then I do with actual words.
That is why I enjoy the site so much, I look forward to reading all about you and your family and your trips to get yarn and how the grands are doing, and there are so many others that keep us in their worlds, and it feels so rich.
And by the way..........I had a wonderful day today too, I visited Lisa, my hair dresser, and that had alot to do with why my day was so great.

She's busy busy busy and I don't know how she keeps track of her books since she works on more than one at a t time. I do enjoy reading them when she publishes them.

I've also made such true friendships here too Linda and I don't know what I would do either if myLot closed. For me it isn't about the money although seeing those $$ signs does bring a smile to my face.

I am glad to hear that Valerie is well and getting a lot of writing done. Everyone needs time off sometimes.

I remember Katrina when it hit Louisiana so every time I hear of a hurricane heading in that direction I pray it isn't bad. Hope the storm didn't cause too much trouble. I haven't seen much about it on the news.

I always say, I'd not be here if it were not for the money (even though it is a pittance). But at the same time, I'd greatly miss the people here. It's like family with some of you's around here. Truly. Even the ones I vehemently disagree with.

When I first joined many years ago I never thought I would have made such friendships with strangers. Now they're no longer strangers and I consider them friends.
