For awhile now I’ve been reading a book night called “A Walk to remember” by Nicholas Sparks. As o was reading it last night it mentioned the town of “Beaufort”. I looked at the back and the story is set in Beaufort N.C. Tomorrow we will be staying in Beaufort S.C. Ironic! When we got to the airport today we arrived bc with 6 minutes to spare. The cut off for check in is 45 minutes prior to take off. We had no idea and I didn’t do any of the booking thank god or my husband would have blamed me. My husband had my keys while driving and didn’t leave the pepper spray in my car so I had to throw it away at check in there wasn’t time to run it back to my car. As we were checking out or car rental “Heaven is a place on earth” (by Belinda Carlisle) came on the radio. It was one of my very favorite songs as a kid and I told my husband that was a sign. I went from the airport oitside towards the car and the humidity made me have trouble breathing which I’ve never dealt with before. We ran back inside for a car seat and I got so faint going back into the blasting ac. I was so shaky and felt awful for a few hours but felt better after eating and then we were able to walk around the town a while. What an expensive city this is yikes! The first thing I did when we parked was to see it any geocaches were nearby. The closest was an adventure lab called “A walk to remember”. Ironic again! I had one a few pages left on the book “A walk to remember” so we walked a few blocks to a little free library and swapped it out for a book for my little one. Photos is my view on the flight.

@LovesEverybody he’s a good author you will like him. How ironic is this. I didn’t know what this book was about I just grabbed it off my shelf a few minutes before we left to go to the airport. As we were leaving Parris Island after watching my stepsons graduation ceremony from the marines boot camp I opened my book to read and this was the page I was on.

@shaggin I want to read him. I don't know why I have never read him. I will though! My Aunt has read most of his books She gets his books at yard sales. I am reading "The Paradise Problem" by Christina Lauren. I have not had a lot of time to read in the last several days. but I was able to get up to page 37 in this book and like what I have read a lot.

My hubby and I visited both Beaufort and Savannah a few years ago. I loved both bed and breakfasts that we stayed at in both cities. I bought a gorgeous mirror from a Savannah art gallery. Savannah was a bit large for me. I would not mind going back to Beaufort. I hope you have a marvelous time.

@sallypup I enjoyed walking around Savannah but I’d prefer to have stayed somewhere less busy. I didn’t see anything that really wowed me but it was nice to look around for a few hours. We are almost to Parris Island now where we will get to visit my stepson from 10-3. I can’t wait.

@shaggin That island area is so pretty. I remember the low hanging live oak trees.

Enjoy your trip. I have never read a Nicholas Sparks' book, it doesn't look like something I would like but I may give it a try one day.

@LindaOhio I just realized the vertigo I had from the plane is finally done. I’ve had it for so long I thought it was never going to go away. I still had it yesterday.

@Shavkat some of the spots we visited were amazing. I had a nice time but wish I had gotten to spend more time with my stepson. His girlfriend and her mother drove down and as soon as the graduation ceremony was over they whisked him off .

@Kandae11 this is actually a trip to see my stepson at boot camp for family day which was today and his graduation ceremony tomorrow. I’m bored in a hotel room at the moment. We sat from 10-2 at a picnic table visiting my stepson then came to the hotel and my husband just wants to lay around. I want to go explore.

We're you there just for sightseeing or to visit with family? I lived in NC for two years but I've never been to SC. I don't even know how close your love but since your room a flight I guess it's not too close.
