Today I finished my painting of this bowl of fruit. (See above.) I'd already completed most of it. I'd really only got to finish the bananas on the right. (Can you tell that they are supposed to be bananas?) All I really had to do was paint in the brown parts on the bananas, parts of which are shadow and parts of which ate just the bananas going brown. So I painted that in. But the top banana is actually supposed to be two bananas and the brown mark in the middle is supposed to be inbetween the two bananas. I don't know if you can really tell that that is the case. When I'd finished that I set it aside to dry. I had a lot of raw sienna paint left over (which was the colour I'd used on the bananas) and I didn't want to waste it, so I went and got another canvas and painted that all over with the raw sienna. Then I went and had a break. When the raw sienna on the canvas was dry, I decided to do a bit of an experiment with it. I got some white paint and I painted in a horizon line. I added a bit of a hill on the right. Then I got some cerulean blue and painted in the sky letting some of the raw sienna undercolour show through. Then I got some ultramarine blue and I painted in the sea. Now I'm leaving it to dry. I don't know what else I'm going to do with it. I might add a boat or a wave to it, I don't know yet. What are you lot getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton Well done you! I melted down the scragg ends of soap I collect and made one bar out of them. Since they were all colours and scents the end product is weird in the extreme, but soap is soap.

@sharonelton Now that the soap has set I can report that it looks like a block of solidified sick, but it smells of tea tree oil.

Thank you very much. That's a very good thing to do with your scragg ends of soap. Saves wasting them, doesn't it? It doesn't matter about there being so many colours and scents. Yes, soap is soap!

I couldn’t quite tell they were bananas at first, but I love how the painting turned out and I like the idea of experimenting with the leftover paint - maybe a boat would tie it all together? As for me, just tackled the usual house chores for the day. Have a nice day too!

There! I told you! I should have drawn them out properly first! Thank you very much. I'll consider that. I hope you got all the chores done that you needed to do. Thank you very much.

It looks really good. You are very talented, but why do the grapes have white dots on them?

Bananas looked like small honeydew melons at first, if I gotta be honest. The other fruits are fine, love the grapes!

Yeah, I know they don't look like bananas! They can be whatever you want them to be! Thank you. Do you think they look good enough to eat?

Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. As I keep being told, it's not about talent. Anyone can learn to draw and paint. It's just learning the tools and tricks of the trade. I never used to be able to draw people and make them look like they were supposed to look! Then I drew that Mona Lisa! Thank you very much. You have a good weekend too.
