Pardon me have you seen my trash?

So, yesterday I got the trash ready to go to the trash dump because there is one on the way to Walmart where I went yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I looked in the trunk and did not see it. Now, when I got home I espected to see it sitting by the door thinking I had taken it out My cold has gotten me loopier than usual Anyway, guess what? It was not! Not only that, but it wasn't outside by where the car was sitting...not in the kitchen. I have never had something like this happen before. Its insane! I mean all I had to do is walk from the kitchen to the door with it, and apparently never made it, nor does it appear to be anywhere else..say what?

My house is full of them. And the older I get, the more there are. They even pick things from my hands. But I´m intelligent. I decided not to spend my precious time looking for things. They appear when I´m looking for something else.

I still don't know. I keep thinking I am going to stumble upon it. You don't suppose I left it outside and a bear took it? That's far fetched but so is a full bag of trash disappearing. I think you would see a trail anyway. I doubt it would be a neat removal.

@snowy22315 If you have bear around, you should never leave trash out. It can be very dangerous.

Right, but where is the trash? I don't live that close to people It's very likely no one knew it was up here and even if they did they would wait for me to get home.

At this point it seems a bear might be the only logical explanation, but a bear is not neat certainly the bag would be ripped or spilled with trash all over the ground. Not just disappear with nothing falling out...

@LadyDuck Now we do have crows here and vultures, but don't think they could handle a 5 pound bag of trash without spilling. We do have fox and coyotes. a coyote could take it, but again..I find it hard to believe they wouldn't spill something

@snowy22315 I have no experience with bears, but the crows are stealing the bags of wet food I give to the neighbor's cat. I put it out two mornings ago waiting for kitty, I went inside and when I went out again the bag had disappeared. I tried again this morning, I stayed hidden behind the window and I noticed the crow stealing the bag.

@snowy22315 What a shame. You can have some of mine if it makes you feel better. My brother carried his bag of trash from his upstairs apartment on his way to work once and on the crowded subway he noticed an awful smell of fish. It took a while before he realised he was still carrying the trash and forgot to put it in the bin.

I am hoping my nose is going to tell me where it is, when I got outside though I am going to look for bear tracks They haven't been seen recently in this development but I know they are out there.

Highly unlikely...They can't even see what is going on here without coming up to the house, and I don't think they would do that...unless in the question of today.. the neighbor had mail for me.

I don't see how it could have, I would have put it in the trunk which believe me I scoured that and the car and the house. Totally crazy.
