It's a Wrap

I set up the folding table in the guest bedroom since Dawn wants to start wrapping Christmas gifts. But of course, cats will soon stake claims on anything we want to use as their own territory, just so they can be close and of course...in the way and get into things. Grayson seems to want to make himself into a gift and be wrapped. I am sure he is not there to help mommy with the wrapping. Undoubtedly, he will walk on the paper as she is trying to size it up and cut it and get it around said gifts. At some point he will have a tanned butt, I am sure of it.

Another good reason not to keep pets that can claim your stuff or get in your way. At least my fishies just stay in their tank and don't cause problems in any other room in the house. Good luck getting everything wrapped and keeping it wrapped until it reaches the one you mean it to reach.

We will need it, if past experience is any indicator of future events. lol

Nothing says “Christmas joy” like cat hair and paw prints all over the wrapping paper.

lol. Indeed. These things shed so much I am often surprised they aren't hairless cats.

@porwest Ours got put on standstill. Hoping to rile up hubster in a bit to do some more wrapping. Works faster with the teamwork!

@kareng I have been banned from wrapping. Apparently, it winds up looking like something a blind 2 year old wrapped. lol

She will need it. Of that I am sure. Usually, I threaten to make them into a stir-fry if they don't behave. It always falls on deaf ears. lol

Cats know exactly how to get in the way when you're trying to do something. I hope Grayson is maybe just banned from the room rather than having his pretty butt tanned.

His cuteness, as well as Cal's, get them out of copious amounts of trouble.

If she wraps the cat as a gift, we can just call her Aunt Bethany.

@MarieCoyle It could be an idle threat. Just tell him if he doesn't behave, he will be sent a dirty house with a mean cat, hating owner. lol

Silly cat! She should go in the room and close the door so the cat doesn’t come in!

He is a beautiful cat so I guess he gets away with every thing anyway! A piece of silver foil rolled into a ball will soon get him off the table and keep him away from the wrapping paper.

He and Cal both get away with way more than they ever should. Cuteness is their best defense, the little scoundrels. lol

You should have just given Grayson a spare or extra gift bag for him to hide in. Then he would have thought he was part of the action, while all the while being out of the way.

I remember last year he was terrible. Dawn was about to lose it and I had to jump into action when she yelled, "Get him out of here before I kill him!" lol

I have seen videos of "How to wrap a cat for Christmas". Bruno just waits for either of us to sit down in our arm chairs to do anything and he is there, in the middle, and cozy and warm.
